I’m confused. Didn’t we already know that DNA testing came up negative wrt the accused guys when this thread was active, several months ago? I can’t bring myself to wade back thru it, but I’m pretty sure I’m right about that.
Yes we did. What we did not know was that DNA from other males was found, and that the DA did not include those findings when he turned over the exculpatory evidence. Read the link I provided from the News and Observer.
IIRC I believe the difference is that ages ago it was “no, we don’t have matching DNA to the suspects” but now we have “we have DNA, BUT none matches ANY of the team members” which calls into question not only the womans’ contention of identification about the specific team members actions but her whole statement about “I didn’t have consensual sexual relations relations with anyone in the time preceding” the alledged attackl whichsuggests that either she’s lying about everything , or the guys that (alledgedly) raped her were not lacrosse team members , contrary to her original acoount. And subsequent accounts as well.
Got it. My memory must be faulty on this one because I thought that it was reported DNA was found, but that it didn’t match any of the frat guys.
Upon reflection, I think you are correct. It seems to me that her boyfriend’s DNA was found. This may have been in the first round of testing, done by the SBI. The results in question came from a private laboratory.
