Lynn's out of surgery

Glad you came through fine, Lynn. Just rest up now and heal fast.

Though your reference to spaying your cats gave me pause. Somehow I couldn’t reconcile the majestic, majesterial Ms. Bodini with yowling forays around around the neighborhood and “spraying” incidents on the furniture.

Sleep, peace and health.

Lynn - glad you’re sorta kionda up and about. I know how you feel riiiiight about now - got a partial spay in January (lost the left ovary and fallopian tube to an ectopic pregnancy). Not the most fun thing in the world - and BOY does it hurt to sit up and move around!

Take good care of yourself, it does get better within a couple of weeks. Whatever you do, keep an eye on the stitches for infection.

Heal fast!!! Enjoy the time off! Turn this helpfulness from the hubby into a habit!

It’s good to know that everything went well, and I hope that you’ll get your Furby to behave better than mine ever does!

Maybe reading the directions more, would help me and ‘Cocoa’ too!

Lynn, keep a positive attitude, that’s more than half the battle!

We’re all pulling for you. I hope everything will be smooth sailing from now on.

Speaking from experience, there’s nothing like waking up from surgery and being told you don’t have cancer.

Best wishes!

Lynn, best wishes on your recovery. Stay away from the Pit! Don’t want to see you bust a suture. Read all the books you’ve been meaning to and let your Hon nurse you in the sweetest ways.

Rest easy!

Hope your recovery goes well.

Lisa, trying to envision what a “suspicious” ovary looks like.

Lisa, suspicious ovaries are very easy to spot - they wear dark glasses, trenchcoats, and fedoras pulled way down on their foreheads.

Lynn, I hope your recovery is going well. I had an ovary removed MANY years ago. I was delighted at first because I didn’t think it was at all painful - until I coughed. Woohoo, what a wake up call that was! And laughing - of course everyone was trying to cheer me up by being funny and telling jokes - I could have killed them all!

And watch out for those car rides - I thought the doctor was silly for telling me not to drive for two weeks because I felt fine - then we crossed some railroad tracks on the way home from the hospital. Hel-lo! My innards did NOT take kindly to the jouncing around.

But my husband had hemorrhoid surgery a couple of years ago, and I guarantee that abdominal surgery beats the hell out of asshole surgery, hands down!

Get well soon, Lynn. Maybe you and Wally can get together at a Doper meeting and compare scars some day!
