M __ N __ R __ H

Monarch was my first thought seeing the thread title.

Of course, now I’m wondering if it might be Mr. North.

Or the Yiddish form of crap: manureh :stuck_out_tongue:

Or My Norah.

Or it cold be “Me North … you Fawn Hall”.

Or people who dig for coal, as pronounced with a lisp: minerth.

You should have stopped after your first suggestion, which made me laugh.

This was more, uh,

What’s to say it’s not some Gaelic/Celtic surname like:

McNorth
McNorah
McNerch
McNarah
McNurch
McNarph

I could go on and on more even…

twickster, was there any sort of clue for this entry?

Yeah, there was a clue. It was a cryptic clue. I have sent the puzzle back and don’t recall exactly what it was. The answer was menorah.

Isn’t that what McPinky says?

It may well be, but I have no clue.

Is McPinky a harelipped dog maybe?

The cartoon character Pinky, currently being celebrated in Cafe Society because of some newly released DVDs, says “narf” a lot.

I apologize for my ignorance. Thanks for the info.
