Would that be James T. Kirk? Maybe James R. Kirk was born in Ottumwa?
(I’ve got a million of 'em. ;))

I was born and raised in Bloomington, IL, home of real life McLean Stevenson and fictional Henry Blake.
Bonus trivia: Bloomington is in McLean county
So no one has ever been in Honolulu? (Nurse Kellye)
I have been to Honolulu a couple of times. I live in the Boston area and I have been to Philadelphia. Count me out on the rest.
They frequently mentioned Tokyo. I’ve been there.

Just five. Oh, well.
The only one I’ve been to is Bloomington, IL.
And Burbank, CA. I don’t know if it was ever mentioned as someone’s hometown, but it was on the sign. Igor, maybe?
Bumped.
Thought some of you might want to get this T-shirt: http://www.militaryissue.com/Mash-Chopper-T-Shirt/productinfo/700477/
In the 13 years since I started this thread, I can add a few more to the hometowns I’ve been to:
Boston, MA
Hannibal, MO
Philadelphia, PA
And apparently Battle Creek, MI is also a hometown, which I’ve been to.
And I was gonna claim San Francisco as another, but apparently Hunnicut was from Mill Valley.
In the movie, she says “I like to think of the Army as my home.”
Wasn’t Kellye from Honolulu? :dubious:
I can add one more to the list:
SSG Luther Rizzo was from Red Stick, Louisiana.
I was born at fort ord…
I assume the shrink played by Diane Arbus’ ex-husband was from New York City, but that might not be explicitly mentioned in any episode.
Boston, Philly, Wiscasset, Toledo, and Honolulu.
You mean Baton Rouge? :dubious:
SSGT Zelmo Zale was from Brooklyn. He was played by Johnny Haymer, “the Constable” in the Star Trek episode “All Our Yesterdays.”
There’s no cite, but the MASH Wiki claims Sidney is from Brooklyn, specifically.
(I haven’t been to any of the character’s hometowns…I’ve been in New York, Massachusetts, and Maine, but have never been to NYC, Boston, or whatever town is the model for Crabapple Cove (but as a Steven King fan, I am happy that we did spend some time in Bangor).)
Well if Sidney is from Brooklyn, I can add that to my list too.
Even with all the add-ins listed, I’ve only got five.
