In November I had a thread going about the three preggers elephants at the St. Louis Zoo. While the first of the three anticipated births ended sadly, I’m happy to say that Ellie finally gave birth yesterday to a 341(!) lb. girl. This is about 100 lbs. heavier than the standard elephant at birth.
That’s about as cute as a 341 lb baby could possibly be. squeeeee!

The mom’s 34, the dad’s 13, and the kid weighs 341 lbs? Wasn’t that an episode of Jerry Springer or something?
I think it’s being rerun tomorrow.
