What the heck does this mean? This guy on Flip This House uses it all the time. It seems to mean to make something look really good.
And while we’re at it, what the heck’s a Rubik’s cube?
Mac Daddy is an early 90’s term, basically meaning someone that all the females find attractive. It sounds like someone is either way behind in their slang, and will start using “the bomb” in about 5 years, or they’re trying to purposefully ressurect old slang for new purposes. Watch out for him calling things “the cat’s meow.”
Side note, here’s a fun game you can play with people:
“What’s m-a-c d-a-d-d-y spell?”
“Mack daddy.”
“What’s m-a-c m-o-m-m-y?”
“Mack mommy.”
“What’s m-a-c h-i-n-e?”
Most of the time, their reply will be:
“Mack hine?”
All I know is that Mac Dad will make ya jump jump.
And the same goes for Daddy Mac.
This guy is a multi-millionaire in South Carolina who made his fortune flipping houses. He talks about we’re gonna mac-daddy up this kitchen, for example. That’s funny. He’s comes across as just a nice, down-home guy who is not very sophisticated.
It wasn’t bad enough that that’s the first thing I thought of - actually seeing it in print has now planted that stupid CrissCross song in my head. Thanks a lot.
Though I did think the video was kinda funny. Remember when one of them had flowing golden hair a la Madonna? Good times…
