In the TL-191 series (The Great War) Why is MacArthur “Daniel”, and not “Douglas”? All of the other characters are real people, where this one is using a ficticious name.
Why not?
Arthur’s experiences in the Civil War and subsequent life were different, so he named his son differently. Heck, Pinky might not even have been Arthur’s wife in this time-line.
Wiki searched Daniel MacArthur, got the “Characters in the Southern Victory series” page.
He’s a USA character. Hmmm.
Douglas was born (in real life) in Arkansas, the youngest of three brothers.
I haven’t read the series. Sorry.
