Has anyone heard of this? From what I can tell it’s one man doing Macbeth, “Simpsons style”… it seems a little odd to me, but I think I’d actually go see it since I’m such a simpsons fan hehe
So I was wondering if anyone else would go see this, or if anyone has? What do you Simpson fans (or Shakespeare/Macbeth fans) think of this? Don’t you just love The Simpsons
Pure comedy…
Reminds me of the Reduced Shakespeare Company. Among other things, they did “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” in one showing, including Hamlet forwards and backwards I believe. Very funny, slapstick, and clever.
He performed near Seattle last year and was interviewed on our local public radio station. He did some bits from the performance and was hilarious. I wasn’t able to go see him perform for real, unfortunately, but it looks like he’ll be in Tacoma in March. Hmmm…
Just wanted to bump this thread because the show is on tour again and wanted to let people know about it. I just saw it in Philadelphia, and it was great. Rick Miller is amazing at doing the voices (some more than others, but that’s to be expected) and the way he works in recognizable SImpsons gags along with the voices and MacBeth is amazing. As an encore he also does a bit called “Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody as sung by the 25 most annoying voices in music”. He does Bob Dylan, Beck, Axl Rose, Julio Iglesias, Neil Diamond, and Meat Loaf just to name a few.
It helps to be a big Simpsons fan, but even a casual watcher would enjoy this show. By all means, go see it if you get a chance. The OP has the show’s website.
