Mad’s 500th issue is out this month

I’m disappointed. I thought they’d have more of a celebration, make the issue special somehow. They did include collages from every set of 100 issues, and a collection of 500 Sergio Aragones marginals (bring your magnifying glass), but it’s not much of a celebration. Heck, they didn’t put up the full old logo or the border or anything.
I realize that they just had the 50th anniversary not that long ago, but you’d think they’d come up with some reason to hang onto this copy besides the number on the cover.
