NETA, with YOURSELF as one of the tied.
I told Prof. I’d reciprocate if he unvoted me, and I’m a man of my word. He’s on my list, but he’s not the only one on my list. Still not as high as you, though. If I thought I could get the votes I’d drop a Roosevelt dime on your ass. Of course, this give you the opportunity to vote me up to the top and kill me off, showing your true colors when I turn out to be townie. And I know you don’t want to expose yourself just yet.

Oh, I see. I was blinded by the vote count and didn’t take other posts into account. Interesting.
Weirdly, it’s not really a tie. Mahaloth has the lowest post count among the three players who have two votes, meaning Mahaloth is the lynch leader.
So I had some time on my laptop - here’s my summary of voting behavior. I included vote counts that were posted. I may have missed something – just scrolled through looking for reds and blues.

hope this helps someone! I’ll look at it later if I can
Well, yeah. I just meant a tie as in the vote count. Not that it would actually be a tie at EoD.
Are votes mandatory? I ask that especially in terms of Day 1.
I mean, obviously you can’t have a day go by with NO one voting, but for awhile, with a whole 24 hours remaining, I was the only one to NOT cast a vote.
In some small way, my lack of vote, combined with my low post count, I would have expected some votes to come my way.
But as someone pointed out, maybe it’s because they know I’m a noob I am not an ideal target?
Scum would look at me and think, “He’s inexperienced, we can let him live for now. He will probably be more valuable to us later if we let him live.”
All I know is I want to figure this mystery out. I am quiet in the thread, but that doesn’t mean I’m not reading everything.
I just really don’t know how to interpret the banter. There is so much fluff, especially on Day 1, that I’m leaning towards voting for… shit, I don’t know!
Is Day 1 as infuriating to everyone else as it is to me? Odds are we lynch an innocent townie. That makes me sad.
Since it’s apparently now relevant, and I don’t know if I’ll be in this thread again before End Of Day, current Day 1 post counts:
snfaulkner 48
Prof. Pepperwinkle 33
Stranger On A Train 33
snoe 32
Biotop 29
Sunny Daze 17
Johnny Bravo 17
Chronos 7
Mahaloth 9
Knowed Out 5
Hi, Neighbor! 6
Dead Cat 2
All players have posted toDay, so nobody is in danger of being removed (unless you request it; I do have potential substitutes). With the current status, Mahaloth, as the least prolific of the tied players, would be the lynch.
EDIT: Updated for Hi, Neighbor!'s post.
The vote is the record. Failing to vote means you’re not contributing to the record. It’s definitely scummy.
Same for not posting. It’s why “lynch the lurker” is a thing.
You could also vote “no lynch” to show you are paying attention and not trying to not be noticed (which is scummy). But in a powerless game, be prepared to explain why you choose to vote that way.
My last post was inane rambling.
Part of me, being a noob, wants to vote out the most experienced players, because they will be the most prone to unleash advanced tactics and misdirection.
They will be the most hard to figure out from start to finish. Might as well weed them out now?
I say this mostly because I’m mostly paranoid.
And this is why:
You know, I went on to read a lot of those posts. Johnny Bravo was scum the whole time, but he played on everyone’s emotions. He played it brilliantly. It shows how good he is at blending in.
It made me think… if he was able to fool all those people in that game, in an early day (Day 3), who says he can’t do it again? It’s my paranoia kicking in.
Again, it comes down to the skill gap here. Expert scum would rather have noobie townies stay alive to win the game. Not vice versa.
The fact that I’m a noob, and that I have received ZERO votes… it makes it seem like the scum have already decided to keep me alive. Because in the long run, it benefits them.
But no matter what, having experienced players around, knowing they are playing with noobs, makes me weary.
Would I love to have **Johnny Bravo **on my side as a fellow townie? Sure. But he’s been so damn good at disguising himself in the past, I think I will ALWAYS be worried about him going forward.
Not casting a vote yet, but those are my feelings.
Actually, shit. Nevermind. Johnny Bravo may or may have not been scum in that other game. I didn’t get through all 1,100+ posts. Now I’m thinking he wasn’t. Anyways, don’t mind me.
Hate to break it to you, but I was vanilla town in that game. But thank you for the lovely compliments. ![]()
My argument still stands about wanting to keep noobie towns alive.
I just found it very bizarre I still haven’t received a single vote yet. I have been lurking. I have been posting fluff (until recently). This might be the first time I make it past Day 1.
I will attest to being the noob that got held around until the last day in my first game ever. Biotop played my like a fiddle the whole time. And yes, the paranoia was terrible and great.
That’s what I’m thinking. One of us noobs is going to be taken for a wild ride and kept a live on purpose.
Scum will DEFEND us noob townies just to keep us alive as days go on.
It’s a total mindfuck. And those sick bastards get off on that sort of thing.
One thing I feel is that scum will intentionally try to flood the thread with misdirectional posts. Then, either way, you will have to go back and sift through mounds of posts just to try to make sense of it all.
I realize I say this at the back end of me posting the most I’ve ever posted in this thread, but that just occurred to me.
That’s maybe the only kind of drawback tot his game.
I still think back to Johnny Bravo’s game with 1,100+ posts in ONE DAY. Imagine having to sort through that mess?!
Yes. Yes they do. Laughing maniacally to each other in their scumyap thread.
Which is why you need to just nut up and vote someone. Nobody really knows anything at this point other than some vague ‘gut feels’ and the people trying to suss out behavior from past games, which can be useless at best and used to misdirect at worst. It’s not as if you vote the wrong person that you are going to be lambasted and thrown out of the game…unless, of course, you are faking this naivety and you are actually expert scum playing everyone else with this ingenue act.
Anyway, my advice would be to pick a name–just anybody who seems too eager or suspicious–and let the chips fall where they may. At least half of us are going to get voted out or killed by scum before the game ends, unless we get lucky in picking one scum this Day and I can convince everyone to vote snfaulkner on Day 2. Nobody is walking out of this town without blood on their hands.
Stranger
I don’t know about anyone else, but I make it a personal policy not to vote for noobs on D1 without really good reason.
D2, you’re fair game.
