Yep. I don’t even get what I did to deserve dying right away. I don’t want to fall into “well, better him than me” category.
I really don’t get it.

There’s still plenty of time for vote changes in the next 18 hours.
Your confidence in my scumnitude on D1 is…troubling. Especially since I know you are wrong.
**
Unvote Snoe**
I’m going to **
Vote Stranger on a Train**
for mostly OMGUS reasons right now.
…there’s one of them now.
I know, I’m just surprised. I don’t think anyone has a particularly good case going. It’s almost like…a crapshoot.

:ducks:
Saying D1 is a Crapshoot will only get you lynched if Sister Coyote is playing. Or LightFoot. or TexCat. Or…
:ducks beside Mahaloth:
Right now there seems to be this:
3 votes - Stranger On The Train
2 votes - Prof. Pepperwinkle; Mahaloth
1 vote - Sunny Daze; Johnny Bravo
with Hi, Neighbor! not voting yet.
I’ve probably only got like 4 or 5 hours since I doubt I’ll be awake for any last minute EoD shenaniganery,
Madame P. wants to shopping tomorrow, so I don’t know if I’ll be around either.
*Little Bill Daggett : I don’t deserve this… to die like this. I was building a house.
Will Munny : Deserve’s got nothin’ to do with it.*For one, you voted me first, so don’t act all hurt and innocent. Second, your first post after the game started was to defend snfaulker who I am about 65% sure is scum, which makes you suspect. And somebody is going to die, so if it is me, I am going to do my damnedest to flush out scum with my last desperate breath. And I expect my fellow townies to come for vengeance, and they’ll be looking pretty squarely at you for jumping in on a group kill against the glint-eyed hard boiled old salt. And besides, I’m between a rock and a hard place; I either get outposted by Pepperwinky or target someone who already has a vote, a low post count, and who is on my shortlist, and that is you, baby. Any way it goes, I’m kind of expecting to be killed on Night 1 because I think there is a better than even chance that I’ve got both scum on my shortlist. I might be wrong–I’m probably delusional–but I’m going to play it like I’m Hercule Poirot sans the mustache, because I don’t have time for that kind of personal maintenance.
<agent coulson>Am I, though?</coulson>
I’ve elucidated my reasons for suspicion to all and sundry, so everyone can decide for themselves if they are reasonable and well grounded. The result will illustrate whether my suspicions have merit. So choose wisely. “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possible imagine.”
Hi, Neighbor!, you can see that at least two people (and as I would testify to it, three) have already voted for the wrong person, so really, throwing in your vote, even if at random, is no worse than the error two people together have made. You should vote someone, and I would encourage you to make it a vote that counts, e.g. someone who already has at least two votes, just to make it interesting. And if you are concerned that it could shift the current balance then you can vote me because I’m already marked for death (Steven Seagal reference totally unintentional). But take a vote or everyone is going to think you are sitting on the sidelines because you are scum.

Funny, I used that

Could you elaborate on this?
I remember him being very assertive during the last couple days of Legoland when he was town. But in the earlier days I don’t remember much different from his normal him. He doesn’t usually last till end times, so I found it noteworthy.
Stranger On a Train:
I am not really finding snfaulkner particularly Scummy, and we have now played together in games many times. This is your first game. How can you be “65% sure” he is Scum?
You have your experience and it is worth whatever it is worth as a prior (although not specifically related to this game). But his early prompting and agitating makes him suspect in my view. Plus, there is just an intangible…thing. snfaulkner is just a bit too clever for his own good. If he’s not scum, he’s playing a role good scum would play at pretending to be not-scum, and I have a suspicious nature.

What the heckity heck is motivated reasoning?
I’m not getting it either. If you think he’s scum, you should vote for him and make the argument to the rest of us. I can understand what someone else said about voting for a leader just because you know you’re town and you don’t know that another person is, but this is twice you’ve essentially placed an OMGUS vote.
You’re aggressive and you’re hunting. I would love to move my vote, but the inconsistencies are just nagging at me.
I did vote for him and I elucidated my reasoning. Nobody else was in alignment, and I was put to the issue of being lynched or voting for someone else who might be lynched instead, rather than just waste my vote pointlessly whilst being eliminated.
Stranger
BTW, my totally unsubstantiated suspicion is that Chronos picked on experienced and one neophyte player as scum just to take advantage of the “We don’t lynch newbies on Day 1” mentality. It’s certainly possible that he just picked scum at random, but with only ten players and two mafia, I wouldn’t.
Stranger
snoe thank you for posting the history.
Stranger apologies. I see that you did vote for snfaulkner at post 55.
I am not sure where to place my vote. Stranger’s behavior is odd, but explainable, and he’s definitely hunting hard. This reads as non-scum. Prof P is being Prof P, which is to say based on past games I don’t read him as scum. I don’t have a read on Mahaloth, but we’ve got Biotop’s meta read.
We have some time left. Stranger I am rethinking your snfaulkner position. I don’t agree with all of it, but I do agree that he started post-padding early. This notion, below, also stuck out in my mind on re-read.
This theory could be an attempt to re-direct attention from the lurkers onto more active members.
I am willing to join you in a vote on snfaulkner.
unvote Stranger On A Train
Gah! Add that to the ever growing list of things I’m not allowed to say without getting votes.
I’m sick
I’m busy at work
I’m going to do a reread
What else?
Btw, I’ve said all of these things both as town and scum. It should be a null tell.
