Toaster - most “nights” last a few days. Most “days” last anywhere from two RL days to a few weeks.
There are a few other rules that most games on mafiascum enforce… I’m going to suggest them here, and Aslan can ignore or use them as he sees fit.
- No editing or deleting posts. Ever. If you make a big mistake, post again to correct it.
- Votes are normally Bold for easy spotting by the mod
- Once you’re dead, you’re dead. If you’re a cop with investigations, they go with you to the grave.
- If someone gets the votes to lynch (normally majority), the day is considered over. Unvoting them won’t save them.
- Also mod’s choice, if majority votes no lynch, there will be no lynch that day
- no quoting PMs. Paraphrase at your discretion.
- mod’s decision on missed night choices? My personal preference is: first time missed, no choice. Second time missed, the mod makes a choice for you - usually a fatal one.
- If you’re going to be gone for a few days, let everyone know. If you need replacement, post so.
- This shouldn’t need saying, but it’s been done before - creating a new account to anonymously tell things your character knows (had someone on the GL create an account called “Cop” who posted his investigation results without revealing himself). This should mean instant death to the cop.
Again, Aslan will pick the rules he likes and post them… these are just suggestions to make the game run smoother. One last note - this is a committment you’re agreeing to. Nothing makes a game suck like having half the people drop out without posting so.
