Mafia: Simpletown

Oh, one more thing. Replacements are supposed to happen at Dusk. I need to recount to make sure the proper number of posts were made. I will do this in a few hours, I just don’t have time right now. So consider this an extended Dusk.

 In retrospect, this is hilarious!!

YES!!!

I don’t know what a Lead Assassin is, but it sure sounds like scum!

w00t!

Wow. I guess he really was that clumsy.

Assassins eh? Wonder if that means anything special or if it’s just mafia under a different name.

:dubious:

Well! This turned out somewhat cheerier than I had expected or dared hope. I hereby retract my apology, Mad, but good game to you.

Sweet. Ass. I love when I’m right!

I have reviewed the posts of the borderline cases and have determined that no one needs to be removed from the Town Today.

Several players are riding the line very tightly. It is my opinion that the participation bar is quite low and I’m disappointed that so many players have played so little. Real life sometimes intrudes, so I won’t make admonishment beyond this post.

Also note that I’m not counting multiple contiguous posts.

No one will be replaced This Evening.

Carry on.

Holy whoop ass. Lot’s of activity today that I missed. I, of course, was my usual wrong self.

Maybe the third time is a charm. Bartender, a tequilla, and make it a double.

Given **Mad’s **revealed role and his name, perhaps the following Bauhaus ditty is appropriate entertainment to get us through the long, cold night:

Hey wow, someone’s actually playing some good music at the bar tonight. Most other nights, it seems to be some crappy karaoke.

Crappy karaoke, eh? I guess I can’t even carry a tune in text, let alone IRL!

Overnight the Town celebrated the disposal of the Lead Assassin. Some celebrated the certainty of Sitnam in calling out the Leader of the band of Assassins threatening the Town; others murmered behind his back wondering how Sitnam could be so certain of MadTheSwine’s disloyalty to the Town. Could it be that Sitnam himself is an assassin, who forfeited the life of his leader for his on benefit? Could Sitnam be the Detective, able to discern evil from good?

The town would have to wait until Dawn to ask Sitnam their questions and grill the newcomer on how he knew so much about MadTheSwine. Would the town be able to tell if Sitnam was friend or foe? Only time will tell.
Or not. Sitnam, a Simpleton is dead.

Curse you, semi-arbitrary weekend starting time!

sach, any idea when we’re going to get going again?

Curse you, simulposts! :smack:

Menocchio, Simpleton, lynched Day One
Queen of Town, Doctor, killed Night One
MadTheSwine, Lead Assassin, lynched Day Two
Sitnam, Simpleton, killed Night Two

Late in the Day yesterday, I found **fluiddruid’s **vote switch from **Mad **to **pedescribe **suspicious. I asked her about it and explained in detail what I found troubling about it in posts #633 and #645, the latter of which contained the following:

**Mad’s **subsequent bogus claim and unmasking as Lead Assassin (I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important, and I’m guessing that scum would be strongly motivated to keep their “Lead” alive) only increases my suspicion of **fluid **and her vote switch. Therefore, I am going to start the day with:

vote fluiddruid

I agree that the late vote change was scummy, especially considering the fact that MadTheSwine turned out to be Lead Assassin.

In addition, WF Tomba’s analysis of day one voting pegged fluiddruid, and I agree with that looking back on those posts myself. Thirdly, I think the two lynch argument is bull. Overall fluiddruid has been manipulating the votes and arguments, so I will.

vote fluiddruid

Also FOS Nanook of the North Shore for

Thats pretty cozy with someone that turned out to be scum. Nanook forced the tie, and imho a last second role claim is scummier than one done in time for people to respond. The truth confirms this.

Go Town!
