To clarify: I don’t believe I have said anything was “a common scumtell”. The closest instance to that would have been earlier toDay when I mentioned that ryjae’s pre-death scum snuggle of me was a scum tactic. He’s known scum; there is no scumtell involved. I would appreciate if you would stop misrepresenting what I say to cast me in a negative light. ShadowFacts noticed that you did this, and it’s a shame he’s not around anymore. Really, kinda seems like he’d be the last person I’d kill if I were scum.
That said, I’m pretty much done with the subject of RoOsh. I’ve said all I’ve got to say, absent a direct question on the topic.
Good luck on your exams, RoOsh. This ain’t personal.
Your thoughts again noted. I’d call that a snuggle against the dead though, but okay -once again you’ve pointed out you totally wouldn’t kill SF. Noted.
As for my quotes- yes, I’ll try to cut down on it. But it is a habit of mine. I like to quote things as " " to indicate how I’M READING It. Sometimes they’re for humor, most of the time it’s because I’m lazy, but it’s also there because it’s to show what how I’m reading these things as coming across. I consider them helpful, because if people feel they’re not conveying what you MEANT to convey, then they speak up about it. It gives me a chance then to go back and look at it again on a second read- maybe I misread something or such. If I want to quote something, I’ll usually quote it directly though, otherwise its just an absentminded thing. However, I’m not used to these boards in terms of quoting and such (its MUCH MUCH easier to make long posts filled with quotes and such on the offboard sites), so yes, I’ve been overusing the " ", SF pointed it out, and I noted it. I’m trying to cut back on it, but habits are habits. You may like to snuggle because (yes, I totally am going to whip out the “”) “you may feel since you KNOW you’re not scum, that its okay for you to do it, because it’s not scummy.” So then, why can’t I just apply that same logic to me? “I know I’m not scum, so it’s okay if I use the “” because it’s not a scum tell.”
Except, I realized now it’s a bad thing. So I’m gonna try to cut it off. My bad. I’ll try to stop. But at least my " " give you an idea of how you’re coming across to me as well. So they’re there to help us both out. You know how you’re coming across, and I know when I’ve got something wrong. As not all of my " " are called out. So i assume only the ones where our thoughts aren’t syncing up are the ones i need to look at.
Thank you, and of course the same to you. This is just a game, and totally freindly.
Mafia is Mafia, I can tell the difference between it and real life. If I can’t I’ll contact you out of game for such things or in the thread in an out of game moment.
We’re still peachykeenfine in my book outside of this thread.
I wasn’t even complaining on the quotes, even though I referenced ShadowFacts on that. I actually do that too. My only concern was that the content didn’t reflect my intentions or what I felt was a reasonable interpretation.
Nanook if you are town FCS do not post a thing. I’ve got something that I am working on that guarantees a town win.
Quiickly, we lynch of tha above talkers, nanook, if town and doesn’t post, gets mod killed for lack of posting scum kill we are at two- one tomorrow.
Don’t’ want to break anything but if Nanook and is town his lack of posting guaratees a town win.
If this outside of the spirit of a game that calls for lying, deceitfulness and downright meaness, at times, feel free to educate me.
Kind of funny that now lurkerdom would guarantee towniness.

And RoOsh sach has made it clear that concurrent posts count as one. So you still need to make at least one if not two more.
[Oog]Good luck[/oog]
I am totally using that in my sig.
And if Nanook comes in here and starts posting like a maniac I am going to pull my flippin’ hair out. At least until someone tells me I am full of it (anxiously awaits a deafening chorus). Think hack a Shaq - boring and to an extent not in the spirit of the rules, but within the actual rules while being extremely effective. Ask Phoenix.
BIWTIF (brilliant if works, terrible if fails). The only problem I can see with it is this. What happens when nanook comes in here and says “no way I’m doing that, that’s cheap” (not actually a quote)? Would that indicate that he’s scum who doesn’t want us to have a sure-fire win? Or does that mean that he’s townie who is playing to a level of fairness not required by the mod? And that’s all assuming the tactic is kosher in the first place. On the other hand, there’s nothing that can punish not talking. On the other other hand, sach could just choose not to mod-kill. But if he does that, does it mean that he doesn’t want to mod-kill the last scum? At least we can be sure of one thing–if nanook comes in here on Thursday and posts four posts unrelated to your plan, he’s most probably scum.
P.S. Your plan fails spectacularly if either BlaM or I (or you, I suppose) get mod-killed too. I don’t expect that to happen, since I’ll be watching very carefully, and BlaM’s usually pretty prolific, but we should be careful.
FTR, while this would technically be within the bounds of the game, I would say it’s against the spirit of the game. Chances are, our illustrious mod would see good reason to not mod-kill in a case like that. So, while it would, if not nipped in the bud by Sach, guarantee a town win, I can’t really endorse it. Of course, that said, it’s up to Nanook and Sach if they’d permit it.
Personally, I think that even if sach decides to not modkill because of this, nanook would basically become confirmed town if he didn’t post today.
But if he was running a gambit…that would be the most awsome play…incredibly risky though.
I can see Sach allowing this, though. It seems like something he would be okay with.
And don’t take me wrong. I want to win this the correct way. I was merely making an observation. sach seems to be a stand up kind of guy. I can’t see him changing the rules for any reason. In that regard he is the perfect Mod - impartial in all regards.
YMMV
I don’t understand how that plan would work. What am I missing?
To: bufftabby’s question.
Lynch you or RoOsh. Nanook doesn’t post and gets modkilled. If he’s scum then town win. If he’s town there would only be one unconfirmed - either you or RoOsh. Scum kill one of three confirmed during the night. Tomorrow 2 confirmed and 1 unknown. Even I can’t fuck up that vote.
Not saying that is the way go, merely that it is one way to play the game based on the current rule set.
I am a CPA and have dicked with the IRS a ton in my previous life. Nothong was more fulfilling than to uise their own rules to screw them.
Of course not with my spelling but with my regulation interpretation and math.
I don’t think nanook is especially a sispect right now; it really seems to have come down to RoOsh and I anyway. Would we still have enough people alive if nanook is town and gets modkilled, and then you guys end up voting for the town member amongst RoOsh and I? (I’m not good with math. I was an English major.) Also, since nanook doesn’t appear to be inm any real danger, wouldn’t it be kinda pointless for him to die? If there was a lot of contention over him as well, I can see how that could be a good idea. I’m not saying it’s not a good plan, it just seems unnecessary to me. I must still be missing something.
I totally respect what you are saying. From what I’ve seen about sach he seems to be pretty black and white when it comes to rules interpretation. I mean he still was counting pedescribe post count yesterday even though he is confirmed and his feelings on RyJaye had been clear since the Day before. I don’t think that sach would have hesitated a second to kill him if he did not participate by the letter of the rules even though the spirit could be inferred.
But that’s it on this chapter. I am now going to play it straight and let this lie unless someone else wants to discuss it.
So:
Nanook’s last minute vote switch on Mad = new townie freak out.
RoOsh and his nemesis discussion = townie trying to backfill for his replacement and also being true to his nature.
bufftabbysnuggles and initial response to “cite” question (can you give me the post number from where you lifted your quote?) = scum.

That’s kinda funny peeker. I had the EXACT same idea at the end of the Day last week. It guarantees a town win as long as there isn’t a Godfather among Blam and pedescribe. On the other hand, if there is a Godfather there, we could still win in a 1v1 coin flip on the final Day. For the record, I’m about 95% sure there isn’t a Godfather in that group. So if you guys want to, and Sach will allow it, I will not post again Today.
Your thoughts Sach? Outside the bounds or legitimate play?
