Well, magellan won’t engage with me (understandable on his part, certainly) and you look sufficiently like a yarn ball that might hold my interest briefly.
It’s the latter.
I thought it minimally polite to leave the option open.
I’m actually very intelligent and well-educated. I’m sure you guys are too. But I’m also patient and I don’t get all huffy when a misunderstanding occurs. You should try that.
Heh, you think I’m huffy. That’s adorable.
Afterthought: you think you misunderstood me only one time - that’s doubly adorable.
Yes, you are being huffy.
But like I said, we should just move on. So you go ahead and throw out a few more snide insults to make yourself feel better and then we’ll be done.
You should try incorporating that into your posts sometime.
You getting a bit tattered, yarn-ball?
He barely even registers what you’re saying to him. Do the math; he’s got twice as many posts as anybody else in like eight threads at a time. Ain’t no time for reading or thinking. He’s distilled internet chain-yanking to its purest form.
You’ve clearly misunderstood Bryan Ekers. He doesn’t want to understand or misunderstand anyone or anything. What he wants is keep up a cool-kid image via clever riposte and quips. Understanding you is not even part of the equation.
Sure he is.
X + (lance strongarm) = X
Well, it was at first, then I came to understand that there was nothing to understand. Jimmy Chitwood seems to have nailed it.
If I may suggest:
U = x + i(lance strongarm)
where U = Understanding; x = the rational part and i is the imaginary part. lance’s contribution only modifies i.
The equation is complex, but the situation is not.
Ah, I think I understand now.
I’m not sure if it’s chain-yanking or if he thinks this kind of tendentious stupidity is what arguing is actually supposed to look like. In that regard he’s kind of like magellan01, except he’s more of a blank slate while magellan01 is a smug, malignant dipshit.
Well, the steroids help him, I’m sure.
That’s not what I said
Its not something I made up
Again, that’s not what I said
I think, lance, in all seriousness, I think you know perfectly well what I’m talking about, but you’ve decided that this the issue you’re going to hang your cross on and pedantically ask for increasingly absurd levels of minutiae about things of decreasing degrees of triviality. Yes, the “retard” comment from before was baiting, but not what you think. The fact that you ignored something like that to engage in banter regarding operational definitions of racism shows something you may not have wanted to show, but it is clear to me now.
I’m going to let you win. You’d probably declare victory anyway, so no skin off my nose. I’m not going to explain any further. My words are clear enough to someone without an agenda, they don’t need more detail. That the GOP is racist is an accepted statement of fact by enough smart people that I don’t need to convince you or anyone else who either is flawed in their thinking or is part of the racist GOP contingent itself. Feel free to block me because I’m not reading any more of your posts in this thread.
Ultimately, I do find it sad that someone who is a parent to a disabled child would throw their lot in with a party of racist xenophobes who would probably tell you and your child to pound sand if you ever asked for help. Consider your beliefs and goals in life and how defending the entire GOP, which as we all know is a racist party, makes those goals easier or harder
That’s what he does on every issue.
What did you say?
Then cite it.
Yes, and I think your argument is shit. Your evidence is incredibly poor and so is your logic.
You’re resorting to an ad hominem - I think it’s a circumstancial ad hominem. In any event, my motives are not the least bit relevant to whether your argument is good or not.
And this is an appeal to authority, another lame-ass fallacy.
I’m a Democrat. Always have been.
Doesn’t mean I can’t say that your argument for the proposition that Republicans are all racists is stupid. It is.
I’m not defending the GOP, I’m defending reason and logic from stupidity and fallacy. I’m also defending the DEMOCRATIC party from further accusations that some of its members are making stupid, unsupported, unfair accusations about racism, thereby eroding our credibility and making us look like idiots - and also making people stop listening to us when we have REAL complaints about racism.
In short, you’re not helping anything with this horseshit.
There is a difference between branding every Republican as racist and branding the Republican party as racist. I’m like the 4th person to say this but I’m hoping that repitition might have some sort of effect.
She is a pretty horrible person who is capitalizing on being a cute Asian woman to insulate herself from some of the criticism she would otherwise receive for saying the sort of shit she does.
What makes her particularly repugnant is that she doesn’t really believe half the loathesome shit she says. I’ve seen ehr debate and she is well aware of the facts and in a debate, she is fairly well reasoned and rational (although very partisan), then she gets on a talk show or soemthing and spews stuff she KNOWS is false or unsupportable because it gets her better ratings.
It just boggles my mind that this child of immgrants has bifurcated immgrants into two groups, the good kind (which she belongs to) and the bad kind (which is what Mexicans belong to).
It is frequently the corner cases that let you suss out what the rules are.
I don’t know about anybody else but the reason I peg you as a racist is that when you are presented with a disparity between racial groups (say the IQ difference ebtween blacks and white), your first instinct is to assume its because one group is inferior to the other instead of other possible reasons for the differences. You are also incredibly tolerant of racism among conservatives as if it is incredibly rare or something.
No, there is a difference between saying something is a tax in the commonly understood sense and saying that something falls under the taxing power.
Do you honestly think that there would have been anywhere near this level of racist attacks gaist the president if Herman cain won in 2012?
