Due to a rugby accident I’m out of action for at least the next 2 months. I still get paid full wages while off sick but was wondering was there anyway that I could profit from the sitution by making a buck or two from the good 'ol Internet.
Now I know there’s no point in googling ‘make money on the Internet’ as I can guess what i’ll find
Actually, now that I think about it what I really need to a job or sorts that keeps me busy and stops me from going mad until I get back to work.
IS it possible to do charity work or any such project on the 'net?
A friend of mine makes extra pocket-money by spread-betting on the stock exchange - whether it will rise or fall by day end and by how much. He says that there are few days when he can’t cover his position well enough so that whatever the market does, he comes out ahead. There’s a UK website that he uses, but I don’t know what it is - helpful or what
I’ll try and find out and get back to you…

Yep - eBay charity auctions are fun, challenging and easy to do. Find a charity you wish to support, and get their permission. Then solicit donated items to auction, with the proceeds paid directly to the charity. Since the buyer pays shipping costs, all it costs you is time. It helps to set up a ME page outlining where the money is going, and for what purpose.
I had a great time a couple of years ago, as part of a group raising funds for an animal sanctuary. I was in charge of the eBay side of fundraising … my favourite part was researching the donated items before putting the auction up. I learned so much about a variety of things, i.e. pottery, stamps, coins, books … all sorts of miscellaneous things.
We raised £11,000 ($19,000) in 8 months … before we discovered the sanctuary owner was using the money to refurbish her house rather than for the animals. :smack:
But I wouldn’t let it put me off - just choose your charity wisely!
