{Gasp!} She gets it from your Mig???

My friends sometimes tell me I’m another Milton Berle.

It really tickles me when people remember things about me. ![]()
Until 2006 they wouldn’t sell the morning after pill except in a couple of states that required them to, but have long sold birth control pills.
When I was growing up, back in the 60s, makeup lines for little girls were pretty common. Most of it was poor quality but nontoxic stuff. I remember the nail polish, in particular. We also had dolls that could be made up as well.
Makeup for grownups is generally more expensive, and likely to be more irritating if misused.
This is an obvious snub to my make-up wearing boys!

Luckily for me, my (one day soon to be) step- daughter’s mom works for Mary Kay so I never have to deal with it. She shows up fully stocked!
I’d rather little girls be playing with makeup that’s gentle and as non-irritating as possible with relatively low-key colours than the garish toxic-waste-coloured Wet 'n Wild and Bonne Bell crap I was playing with at that age.
It’s to keep them from growing up too fast. Every parent’s dream…
I’ve actually seen signs advertising morning-after pills in my local Walmart. Usually around prom time.
My sister is 10 and for the longest time would essentially steal my mom’s makeup so she could put it on in secret. I don’t know what for, she’d only wear it in the bathroom then wash it off before coming out. But eventually my mom just bought her some of her own. I don’t really see the big deal.
