Making AGP2X Stable

I have the following computer setup:

Asus K7M Mainboard
“Classic” Athlon 600 overclocked to 654
2 Sticks of 128Mb Pc133 Ram
Asus V7700 Pure 32Meg GTS overclocked to 225Core/400memory, running nVidia Ref Drivers 12.41

When I enable AGP2x with NVMAX, and reboot, I find that 3d applications, like demos and games crash the system solid, so much so that the Reset Button is required.
This has nothing to do with the overclocking by the way. I have tried it with everything default and still no dice.

The mainboard and video card both support AGP2x, but it only runs in APG1x Mode.

Does anyone know why this could be?

Try this free program: GeTune

Hope it works.

Thanks for the link.

The problem isn’t how to enable 2x. The problem is getting 2x to perform stable on my system. See, I can enable 2x, but things crash while using it. Is there something else I have to do, some bios setting or some other setting I have to make a change to to make 2x run properly?
