You know, the F*** Me Voice. Ladies (& thusly inclined Gents), you know it when you hear it. I say Bruce Springsteen, hands down. (excuse me while I listen to ‘Stolen Car’ on repeat).
Dave Matthews. No question.
I’d have to say Barry White (obviously) and my personal favorite, Johnny Hartman.
Call me crazy, but I get a rush out of hearing Paul Westerberg sing. There’s something about that harsh, raspy voice that turn me on. Or maybe it’s just his bad-boy attitude. Either way, it works on me.
David Bowie’s voice does it for me!
Does he have to be alive? Because Jim Morrison had a yummy voice.
It’s trite and obvious but Enrique Iglesias’ video for Bailamos (Better than some porn I’ve seen for getting my engine humming) and LL Cool J (Phenomenon is a wicked, wicked F*** song) do it for me :P~
For sexy, Chris Issak is pretty good. I like Hal Ketchum too.
The poor late Jeff Buckley. Voice and range like an angel.
Dave Vanian of the Damned is pretty cool, too, in more of the sexy-scum-down-the-street sort of way.
I’ve done pretty well with the ladies when putting on any CD of Kurt Elling’s. (IMHO the best living male jazz vocalist).
'Course I’ve done pretty well singing to them myself
Bono from U2… and Smokey Robinson.
Mrrrrrrrrrrrow.
Hmmm… If i could just lay back and have someone sing to me… real sexy like… hmmm… I would have to say Neil Diamond…
Definitely Seal. And if Hootie (aka Darius Rucker) had a decent band behind him, he’d be good too. I remember hearing him sing the National Anthem for a World Series game once, and it gave me chills.
bono and leonard cohen
David Sylvian…
Robbie Robertson…
Peter Murphy…
(I’m a freak.)
Robbie Robertson - yum, yum!
Bono
Chris Issak
Lou Reed
Bob Segar
Kris Kristofferson
Stephen Stills…
I could go on. I am very vulnerable to voices!
No question, hands down - Lyle Lovett does it for me.
It’s easy. Dave Matthews.
[hijack] Falcon, have you heard the new version of Bartender? When he wails during the ending, it gives me the shivers. [/hijack]
Definitely Dave Matthews. Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen are up there too, but not superlative…
I cannot believe I forgot Chris Issak, ooh-yeah he’s good too.
