Yes, any type of doctor I’ve gone to does exactly that.
Yes. Agree.
I had a whole group of residents or medical students come in the room during labor with my firstborn. Didn’t bother me a bit
Yes. At least a dozen at every exam. They always clap and cheer afterwards too. Some bring gifts. I’ve gotten quite a few marriage proposals as well. Apparently, I have an exceptionally attractive hoo-ha.
Is that what you were looking for, OP?
You just left yourself wide open for a tasteless remark.
Our lips are sealed.
I thought it was customary for many to attend a grand opening.
I’ve seen both male and female OBs, many specialists of both sexes, and generally a female GP. Plus many assistants, nurses, and various other medical professionals over the years. Quite a few observing students have been in the mix. If there’s going to be more than one person present at any time, especially for a procedure where clothing is removed, the doc in charge nearly always says, “The nurse will be assisting,” or “Do you mind if my student observes?” I’ve never minded, and they’ve never been creepy.
I am a guy and I never minded anyone watching as long as they were professional about it. If it helps them learn something, that is a good thing. It is like the same thing I say to my daughters. You don’t have anything I haven’t seen before. Not everything needs to have sexual overtones.
I can understand having a preference in either direction but having an actual objection based on sex is an unjustified insinuation IMO unless it is backed up with a real reason. Some women prefer male OBGYN’s. My mother is one. She thinks the female doctors she has seen try to be too personal and understanding. She just wants a mechanic type that gets the job done. I am roughly the same way. I don’t really care if my doctors and nurses are male or female as long as they are effective for the problem at hand.
mrAru’s mom was a nurse at the same hospital where he had his appendix aftermath dealt with [how embarrassing is it, mom is a nurse, you have a sore stomach for over a week … turns out it was his appendix getting ready to explode:smack:] He said overall it wasn’t too bad, however having her deal with placing and removing his catheter was awkward …
She changed his diapers, didn’t she?
If my father had ever said anything like that to me, I’d have been creeped out as fuck. And no, it has nothing to do with anything sexual. It’s just plain creepy.
