Some want to try to convince me why this isn’t a complete hoax?

That link isn’t working for some reason, try this:

http://www.malepregnancy.com

It’s a “hoax”. The credits say
Mr. Lee Mingwei and his family and friends would like to express their gratitude to all the physicians, nurses, and scientists who are helping him through every step of this process. The care provided by these medical professionals has been extraordinary. Special thanks to:
Elizabeth Preatner, M.D., Ph.D., of GenoChoice Laboratories

My first clue was right on the first page. The “Live EKG of Mr. Lee” is an animated .GIF file.

Several years ago, I read in a reputable scientific magazine (Omni magazine is a reputable scientific mag, right? )an article about male pregnancy. It sounded plausable; not that I am qualified to evaluate. I think I can live a full life without knowing the joys of motherhood.

GenoChoice Laboratories is a kick. Apparently, my clone has a 98% chance of inheriting the homosexuality defect from me. But for a mere $5,875 they will upgrade the DNA for me to remove the defect in my clone. Only a 3% chance of inheriting the glottal stop genetic defect. It would cost $3752 to remove this defect. Hardly seems worth it for a 3% chance.

The ‘live’ cam tipped me off, there’s a little warning about how it might loop if theres a lot of network congestion, which is kinda funny. But not as funny as clicking on the cam image to refresh and suddenly he’s sleeping in near-darkness. Motherhood takes a lot out of a man I guess.

Yeah, what tipped me off was the wireless ultrasound belt. If those were around, what the hell are we paying all those technicians for?!

I remember a few months back that a female scientists came out with a paper describing how to eliminate men from the reproduction process in theory. Then a few days or weeks later, a man came out with a paper describing how to eliminate women. He had male pregnancy all worked out - how to connect the organs to the baby and everything. It was a bit more complicated than “implanting in the abdominal wall.” It was all very hypothetical, and at least the second paper was tongue-in-cheek, but interesting anyway. I’m assuming this is what inspired this site. Does anyone know where these papers were published?

You know, I beleived it.

I believed it enough that I told my Obstetrician friend about it. He said “no way it’s real.” So I bet him a case of beer.

Nows thanks to you guys, I guess I just lost a case. Thanks.
