This poll, when compared to actual data, clearly displays the fact that men think they are (or report themselves to be) taller than they actually are
Eh? How do you draw that conclusion? Maybe we’re just self-selecting for people who feel good enough about their height to post about it!

I’m the oldest of four brothers, and the shortest of them.
I am 6’ 4 3/4" but voted as 6’ 4". I used to be able to claim I was the tallest on my dad’s side, until my son hit 6’5" 
5’ 8". Or 4’ 5" in my chair.

Interesting someone mentioned their arm span was exactly the same as their height, my arm span is 202cm. I have a bugger of a time buying long sleeve business shirts that fit.

See, I go with 6’3" because it’s the highest I’ve ever been measured (for a band uniform, if you wonder), and I haven’t shrunk. But I measure as low as 6’1" on occasions, usually barefoot at the doctor’s office. It’s weird how it fluctuates.
I had similar trouble, as my sleeve is a bit over 35" but my neck is 17." Look into getting them made - there are all sorts of online services for it now. All my dress shirts were made by some place in the Phillipines for ~$45/shirt, with quality material. Not only will your sleeves fit properly, but you can order your waist size so you no longer have a foot of cloth billowing out, as happens with off the rack even with so-called “athletic fit.” You can also specify collar, cuff, placket and pocket designs.

I believe the same happens with diamonds at 1 carat. Diamonds just below 1 ct will be forced above, somehow.
Looking at the poll, I note that there’s a small spike at 5’ 10" - the average height for American males - and a larger spike at 6 feet even.
