Mama deer is dead: What's the next best milk substitute?

I have an acquaintance who rescued a fawn. The mother had been hit by a vehicle. I doubt this fawn is more than a week old. My father rescued a similar fawn many years ago, and we just fed it cow milk. Is there something better?

You’re probably better off making a meal of it. Hand-raising the fawn is going to cause it to be completely desensitized to humans, therefore living out the rest of its life being a pest and causing no end of trouble both for itself and for those humans it annoys.

IANAV, but if it worked before, well, maybe.
