(I’m hoping this post is in the correct category.) Every February the hospitals in the area offer free mammograms for women without insurance or a high co-pay. The TV station sets up a call center urging people to call and make an appointment. It all sounds like a good thing. Do they do this all over the country? And if you are poor, or unemployed, and you get a mammogram and discover that you DO have a tumour - then what?? What are your options? Have you ever had a screening, something suspicious was detected, you have no insurance, what do you do then?
