Man arrested for possession of cyanide. A good thing, but...

This is a CNN update on an older story (Link), so sorry if something’s been posted on this already.

This guy was arrested for possessing a buttload of cyanide, machine guns, pipe bombs, and other stuff that normal people probably don’t need to have in their storage sheds. Since it was probably going to be put some kind of nasty use, it’s definately a good thing that he got caught.

But what bugs me is, it’s pretty much just a lucky coincidence that he did get caught. He sent a package with some fake documents to somebody and it got delivered to the wrong address. The person who received it called the cops, and the loony psycho maybe-gonna-be-a-bomber guy was busted. What I can’t figure out, is why didn’t he get busted for the following incident, which happened months before…

Is this not probable cause for a thorough investigation? Isn’t cruising around with a hand grenade, gas mask, and bottles full of mystery fluid enough to raise a big freakin’ red flag? This worries me…

OMG! The mind boggles! I am SO very glad he was caught when he was. What I’d like to know, is what became of all the stuff he had during the traffic stop? Also, is an investigation going to occur as to why the man was not jailed right away, when he was stopped previously? I hope they root out all the conspirators in this.
