Look at the GWB strategy. You take a bunch of one issue voters, pander to them, figure that you will maintain your party core and hope that you’ve cobbled together a quorum. (Ex.: New York Jews on the Israeli issue and Christian fundamentalists. Now there’s a coalition.)
People blame Nadar for losing the election for Gore and Kerry but who were the people that voted for Nadar. They weren’t voters, they were anti-voters. [They say they care but they don’t want their vote to count. Then they are off the hook for taking any responsibility.] Sometimes, as distasteful as it sounds, responsibility is a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.
So GWB and his evil strategists taught us that ignoring the extremists can be perilous. Why the hell do you think that McCain is pandering to really disgusting elements. If he holds true to his principles he loses. He needs those one issue, extremist voters in order to win and he hired GWB strategist to do it.
Fahrenheit 9/11 was a powerful tool. The DNC should have been handing out DVD’s on street corners, not distancing themselves from it.
F911 is one of the few movies that I have ever walked out on in disgust. I sincerely hope the DNC hands it out; it would absolutely guarantee a Dem loss in the elections.
Sure, he’s lost the weight, but what about the fact that buffets make you an obnoxious embarrassment to your chosen political party? At least, going by Moore and Limbaugh, that’s my theory. Of course, Ann Coulter fucks up the stats, but then, I’m guessing she purges.
