Open Letter To Michael Moore

Dear Michael,

Ha Ha you arrogant fuck. You’re not the voice of America. People did not buy into the conspiracies alluded to in your last movie. Rest in peace.

Sincerely,

Ludicrous

ps. To all others who believed in Kerry: it was close and sorry, shit happens. Oh, and yes I saw Farenheit 9/11.

By the way…

Your name befits your rant. :wally

Hey, thanks for posting even more hateful shit!

I happen to agree with the gist of your post, but it would be nice if people calmed down a bit… and that ain’t gonna happen as long as people continue to fan the flames. Please, Lud and others, let it rest for a while, m’kay?

As an aside: I just went to Moore’s website to see his reaction, and there’s nothing there! No comment at all about the election so far. Maybe he was up all night and is still sleeping.

Yup saw that. He still misdirects (not film technique) in his movie. Especially the first 45 minutes. Everytime he made a point, all i could think was “Hey but you forgot about…”

I expect better insults from people on this forum…Shmuck  . Oh and to better befit my moniker here, i actually voted for Kerry.

I know it’s hateful but i had to get it off my chest. Better now so it can be forgotten or accepted later. If you check his website again you’ll see he posted a pic of Bush composed of the soldier causalties from Iraq. I did think that when Moore talked of the war in his film it was quite good. I do not like how he blatantly doesn’t show the full picture of his accusations in his films (Bowling for). I also hate his personality and attitude.

To clarify: War as in the invasion of Iraq.

I saw that, but didn’t realize that it was new (I’m not a regular visitor)… I was looking for a message from Mike giving his reactions to the election. No good, so far. I checked last night while the returns were coming in, and nothing… then again this afternoon, nothing… and just now, still nothing. Huh.

Oh, and I voted Kerry too, my first Dem vote ever. What a let-down.

I imagine Mikey is sleeping off his hangover after a night of celebrating. Or on the phone to Harper Collins hammering out his new book deals.

Four moore years of headlines, revenue and adoration guaranteed.

Yeah, it completely sucks when people speak their minds.

Should I open a pit thread about you when Michael Moore’s new book or movie makes him richer? I could do it like:

Dear Ludicrous,

Ha Ha you arrogant fuck. You’re not the voice of America. People did not buy into the hate alluded to in your last thread. Rest in peace.

Sincerely,

ShockingAlberto

Um, that post of yours doesn’t really make sense. Moore is so rich already that anything else is just icing on the cake. Besides several forums, i really don’t try to make myself heard to the “masses.” My hate is only directed at one person and one person only. This is the BBQ pit for Crissakes

Hmmm, actually my ps note was probably the worst thing I said and after reading it i would retract it if i could.

Nope, nothing from him, Streisand, Reiner, Garofolo, Baldwin, Ronstadt, Sarandon/Robbins, Springsteen, Stewart, the Dixie Chicks, et. al.

While I don’t suppose there’s any escaping Moore, one of the most obvious benefits to this election may be that we won’t have the rest of these people inflicted upon us much for at least a couple of years. Here’s hoping the Hollywood crowd has finally gotten the message that they don’t accomplish anything but damage to their fanbase and careers when they try to tell people how to vote and they’ll slink back to the recording studios and movie sets where they belong and where they actually know what they’re doing.

OTOH, you’ve got Arnold over in California arguing the opposite position.

Well, assuming your post was directed at my post, I’ve long said that I have respect for celebrities who feel strongly enough about these issues that they’re willing to forego the relative ease, glamour and luxury of their own lives to get down in the trenches and work for the change they favor.

I don’t have respect at all for celebrites who think all they have to do is present their wonderful selves to the public and say that we should vote the way they want for little reason other than that it is they who say so.

AstroBoy14:

Wouldn’t it be the height of irony if he stuck a gun in his mouth?

Most likely, in a day or two someone is going to notice the smell and call the cops…they’ll find Mike sprawled in front of his TV, a rictus-grimace of pain/horror on his face, and his heart jammed up like a garbage disposal with a bucket of bolts dumped in it.

So you’d gladly join me in my contempt for Britney Spears insisting we all be mindless and follow the President regardless of what he says?

I didn’t need to hear her opinion on politics to hold her in contempt. She’s pleasing eye candy, at best.

But unlike the other entertainers already mentioned above, Arnold dropped the acting so he can actively pursue his political beliefs, not just sing or talk about them. Walk the walk v. talk the talk…he deserves more respect.

Probably so, but it would depend on the context. Did she say this because someone asked her what she thought as she was going about her daily business, or did she go on a talk show or attend a rally and step in front of a microphone to say it. If it was a comment made on the fly I really have no problem with it, either by her or one of lefties I mentioned. If she made a deliberate attempt to use her popularity with her fanbase to evangelize for her belief, I would be critical of her as well.
