New Film Being Made - Michael Moore Hates America

Well, after all he IS a big fat idiot. And a liar. The filmmaker is going to be a lot nicer than I would have been. Nicer than I will be when dealing with someone who exploits the deaths of children, lying about them in order to further his political cause.

(But more on that in a minute.)

The site is http://www.michaelmoorehatesamerica.com/ , aptly enough. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to be especially ABOUT Moore and his lying any more than Bowling was openly anti-gun.

How about his latest exploitation of a child’s death (suicide in this case), you ask? How did he lie about it?

His website today says: “And sadly, an 11 year old British anti-war activist takes his own life after being tormented in school for his views.” The link takes you to: http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,1028851,00.html where you learn clearly that this student’s political activity were the only pleasant times in his life, and for which he was not tormented. His school torment in fact had, according to this link, nothing to do with his views. So much for exploitation.

There is also this: "Take what happened during a March 2002 book-tour appearance for Stupid White Men, his 2001 screed against the Bush administration, corrupt corporate power, and (as one chapter title puts it) this “idiot nation.” At 11 PM, Moore was still signing books for a line of fans at a San Diego school, when event organizers announced that the janitors wanted to close up and go home, since the use permit was up. Moore paid little attention and went on signing books, until someone - apparently the janitors - called the police about half an hour later. At this point, according to Kynn Bartlett, a disappointed fan who wrote about the event on his website, two cops walked in with flashlights - Bartlett points out that it was dark in the parking lot outside - and calmly announced: “May I have your attention. The use permit for this event expired at eleven. You have to leave now.” After some grumbling, everyone did.

End of story - until Moore breathlessly posted his version on his website the next day. POLICE RAID, SHUT DOWN MY BOOK SIGNING IN SAN DIEGO. “I am told that we are getting close to the time when we will have to leave the school,” Moore’s fiction begins. “That is not good. Hundreds are still in line.” (Bartlett estimates there were 75.) Moore continues: “The San Diego police [all two of them, Bartlett says] are coming down the aisle, their large flashlights out (the auditorium lights are still on, so we all understand the implied ‘other’ use of the instruments).” People are “visibly frightened,” “bolt[ing]” toward the doors. “I remark that it feels like we’re in some sort of banana republic or East Berlin, secretly meeting so we can have our little book gathering. Sign quick, Mike, here come the police.” There’s not a word about janitors forced to work overtime to please celebrity authors." http://www.city-journal.org/html/13_3_michael_moore.html

Someone tell me WHY Stupid White Men didn’t have his picture on the cover? Anyone?

Lastly for now, but not leastly, we find some of his “humor”, where he blames the passengers for the WTC crashes, because they were white, and thus wimps. Black brothers would never have tolerated the terrorism, he asserts. Poor taste? Yep. Not to mention color envy. Here’s a small piece of the report on that: “What we did not expect was to feel so enraged at one point that we almost walked out. It was when Moore went into a rant about how the passengers on the planes on 11 September were scaredy-cats because they were mostly white. If the passengers had included black men, he claimed, those killers, with their puny bodies and unimpressive small knives, would have been crushed by the dudes, who as we all know take no disrespect from anybody. God save us from such stupid white men, especially now, when in the US and the UK, black people’s lives are being ripped to shreds by drugs, lawlessness, fear and frightful violence plus the endless circle of racism, exclusion and incarceration.”

For a complete and highly entertaining “psychological analysis” of this nutpig’s rantings, try

That should have read: "try http://www.rachellucas.com/archives/000255.html#000255 "

Enjoy

Actually, it does.

My bad; was thinking of the cover of Adventures in A TV Nation. Of course it fits that he’d be the stupidest white man of all; glad he understands it.

I’m not clear on this, are you a fan or not?

Absolutely  Without people like this, who could felons look down on?

People that disagree with Moore will see lies in his work; those that agree will make excuses for his lies. That’s the way it goes…

Some of these are straightforward black and white, no room for interpretation lies. There are such things. FYI.

Couldn’t this be tacked on to one of the many Michael Moore threads in Great Debates or the Pit?

I know everyone with a digital camera is a film maker these days, but this doesn’t seem like Cafe Society material to me.

Oh, it should be a very interesting movie; I truly am interested in it. I know I added to the topic, but that was hard not to do <embarrassed>

From the first link.

Golly gee, because we show happy people America must be perfect! And if America is perfect then Michael Moore must be a crazy liar!

Errr…not quite. He was a crazy liar long before this. Or that. Or the other.

Still I don’t know if I completely agree with the movie’s premise either. I’d prefer he focused more on the title subject, but it seems he isn’t going to.

There is a place called the Pit, go throw your tantrum there.

“Wah!! People have Free Speech! Wah Wah Wah!!!”

So this filmmaker doesn’t have free speech? I am somewhat confused about that…I did apologize for adding to the topic though. It IS about this movie being made about this slimeball and just today I happened to notice his vicious exploitation of the little dead boy on his site so I, yes, ranted a bit. It’s no problem focusing on the film though

Anniee, I don’t doubt that you are very interested in this ‘movie’, but what you “added to the topic” is still better suited for GD or the Pit.

You should be <embarrassed>.

On preview, where did you apologize for adding to the topic?

That’s not an apology.

He can make whatever movie he wants, but since your using it for another excuse for your anti-Micheal Moore one trick ponyness, you should have put it in the pit, so it can properly devolve into the trainwreck it will become anyway.

A better film would be made that took on Moore, Limbaugh, Coulter, Maher, and all the really big talking heads.

Not always. While I agree with some of what Moore is trying to say, I disagree heartily with how he says it. Exaggerating the facts and creating his own circular-reasoning scenarios is no way to prove his point… I don’t even find it particularly funny or observant.

I’m more than happy to call Moore a liar, and I’m more than a little sad that he takes on the mantle of representing left-leaning views these days. He’s a very poor representative. To my mind, he’s basically Ann Coulter for the left… on a good day, maybe Rush Limbaugh.

As to this line from the film’s website:

Yeah, right… then why call it that in the first place? If it was ironic or satirical, I might be able to buy it. But no, the title just just a snide little way to get attention for their film, and what’s even funnier, it’s dishonest. I may think Michael Moore is a liar, but I don’t think he hates America.

Looks like the filmmakers are engaging in the same sort of tripe Moore does… oh, but it’s not a hatchet job. What a joke.

I’m with Zebra, the subject of the film itself sounds like a non-starter. “Happy people! America’s great!” Oy.

Say what you will about Bowling for Columbine, at least Moore’s film wasn’t a lie right from its title.

Personally, based on the lack of information on the MMHA website (it doesn’t even have the filmmaker’s name!), I think it’s all a scam by marxist hoaxers to get shitloads of money from idiots and use it to construct giant inflatable models of George W. Bush’s daughters. Or maybe Moore that wily self-publicist is running the whole thing himself.

Why exactly does the MMHA website link to Penn and Teller’s website? Have the magical duo suddenly become part of a vast right-wing conspiracy, or is it some kind of Sabrina the Teenage Witch fanboy nonsense?
