There is a saying that a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged. Often conservatives spout this bit of wisdom about themselves. And I think in many cases, they’d be right (I’m not speaking for all conservatives, BTW).
ABD speaks with considerable rage. “Stop those little bastards before they become the scumbuckets that we all know they’ll become.” ABD is essentially venting rage at children he doesn’t even know. When that rage should, possibly justifialbly, be directed at a specific person or persons.
FWIW, earlier in this century, there was such mass rage in Germany. Is it any wonder that someone like Hitler could rise to power?
