I don’t see how that makes inherent sense. 30 minutes is a minute a form assuming the foreman or whoever is filling it out carefully, not making an error. Even if it’s all guilty.
By the way, if he’s convicted on even one count I am going to break out the drinks tonight. I don’t have champagne but I have something,
I wonder if a split verdict actually adds credibility to it. IOW, less of an argument that it was a rigged rush to judgment. Not to say the cult won’t say that anyway, but to the sensibilities of the average non-MAGA.

I’ve been the foreman on three, yes three, separate criminal trials. The form in my last one was for four counts.
It took about 3 minutes, but all were guilty.
The others took equal time, but were all one way or the other.
Oddly, one of the errands I should be running right now is to the liquor store. That’s okay, I can go later, but in addition to a case of beer, I’m wondering if I’ll need a bottle of champagne.

I went to Costco this morning for a few things and I had no plan to buy booze, but ended up getting some mango margarita because it just sounded so yummy. I really don’t drink much these days, but this is going to work today regardless of whether it’s to celebrate or mourn.

I wonder if the judge will have to poll the jury for each count. That would be 408 “do you agree with the verdict on this count?” It would take hours.

In my cases, the whole crime was split into various charges. They really were all or nothing for us.
The form is really just a very small form. In one trial, it had a verbatim part for me to read aloud in court. In others, I just had to say the word “guilty or not guilty” depending on the verdict.
Last time, which was murder, I was stunned how quick my verdict went.
