Yes, assuming it’s true, it indicates that approximately 0.3% of the US population sent him an average of around $50. No one disputes that he’s the head of a cult.

I think in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago fundraiser, the figure that they immediately claimed was raised, $34 million?, included pledges to donate, in addition to actual money. I don’t know if the actual number has been made public yet.
I hope he raises a billion. Carroll and the State of New York can use the cash.

I’ve suggested that Merchan’s sentence should be that Trump live up to his word, for all the promises that he made to the American people.

Anecdotally, the tweets I’ve seen from the MAGA people who show up in my feed have bragged about sending him anywhere up to $1000, so I think the meaning of the money raised is a little less than many people think.
I wonder which is more likely: That they are lying about the amount of money raised, the Maganuts are lying about how much they are donating, or both.
