Have the mods ever actually taken action against someone for posting in blue font and comic sans? People can throw a conniption over whatever they want, doesn’t mean the mods have to coddle their rage.
On a few occasions we’ve told new posters to calm down with colors and fonts and big text, yes.
So don’t you think that other posters might appreciate it if you would tell another new poster to calm down with excessive use of smilies, exclamation marks and repeated use of the same phrase?
Please Marley, please, I’m personally begging you. I’m down on my knees. Please! Just ask her to limit it to one smiley every once in a while. She can keep the god bless you business of course, and her name. We’re just asking, begging, humbly beseeching that she not be allowed to fill up every post of hers with tons of smiley faces and exclamation points. A lot of her posts contain up to 9 smiley faces… that’s just too much.

Ha, I remember someone on this board talking about getting banned from another board because they used the maximum number of characters in their username, something like TheHulkandSupermansPowersCombined. The board wasn’t coded well, and that username on a page compressed the text of all the posts on the page to the extreme left side of the page. If a board didn’t want long names they should’ve restricted the number of characters more.
