Map of Ireland - what animal would you say it resembles?

It reminds me of Daphnia (water flea).

Without reading any other posts: a buffalo

I see a giraffe looking to the left

A Kea.

A cuttlefish, perhaps.

Second thought goes to Sudden Kestrel’s suggestion of a puffin, though it may be easier to see if you squint like Popeye and turn your head like Linda Blair.

I didn’t have to worry about being influenced by other posters’ opinions because I grew up with a map of Ireland on the wall in my house at all times and from a very young age I always thought it looked like . . .

A GHOST!

. . . in traditional “cartoon ghost” form kinda like this guy if he were headed the other direction and didn’t have his leading arm outstretched.

Lough Neagh and Strangford Lough are the eyes.

Not read any other posts - seahorse.

Another vote for cockatoo.

Northern Ireland is the Beak. Donegal is the crest, Connemara is the wings, Dingle and Galway are the tail, Wexford is the claws.

A small, fat, fluffy bird, facing right. I can also see a bison, but have to really squint to see a koala. Seahorse escapes me.

I never thought it looked like any animal.

Without reading anyone else’s responses, and after studying the map for a minute, I conclude that it looks like a koala.

ETA: I see I’m not alone!

You mean the rest of you weren’t doing that already?

A really obese parrot.

not reading the thread first.

It’s either a fetus or an ugly sea horse.

ETA: damn, we all have a bunch of opinions on this.

A happy koala mom, nursing her baby.

I’ve always seen it as a koala, something like this.

None really, although I suppose it looks very vaguely like a panda if you squint.

Ireland has been said to look like a teddy bear … which shows its “arse” to England, naturally. :o

I see a parrot.

I see it as a flying pig.

a DUCK!
