I, for one, welcome our new feline overlords.
There, I said it.
color me the color of not being let down…whatever that color may be. as long as it’s not pink. i’m already a pinkish hue, thank you very much.
Wouldn’t it be a light blue?
Okay, I voted. If a little spot of the Giants’ or 49ers’ colors show up in Chicago, that’s me. (Here’s the baseball map, btw.)
Looking at the map again, it appears to be more of a dark yellow. Who knew?
It’s a little hard to tell since the colors are so close, but it seems there are a few small Jets enclaves in eastern Long Island, southern New York state, and Connecticut. However, that could be an artifact of not having had too many people vote yet.
Something tells me there are a few other artifacts at work, too.
My impression from living in the Northern Rocky Mountains for many years that the Denver Bronco fans are outnumbered by the fans of anybody-that-beats-the-Broncos. There are a handful of Bronco fans here in Wyoming (and of people I know in Montana), but mostly there is a good amount of dislike.
Your Utah impression may be right, but I never remember any Buccaneer gear back in the day. I think a little of the 49’er love is also a by-product of people who don’t like the Broncos.
In general, though, the real passion around here is for college football. There is much more watercooler talk about Wyoming vs. Colorado State or AIr Force or BYU than any discussion of the NFL.
I have it on good authority from my brother-in-law’s father, who lives in Lima, OH, that an area radiating out from Findlay is now firmly Steeler’s country, since that’s Big Ben’s hometown. Was also told he didn’t start in high school because he was behind the coach’s son on the depth charts.
Also, I’d question that most of rural Florida is still Dolphins country. It’s probably fairly well divided, somewhat by geography, between the Bucs, Fins and Jags, and further that the peninsula is split between the Cowboys and Bucs, with the Bucs hosting a number of ex-FSU players in their prime (Derrick Brooks for one) and Emmitt Smith hailing from Escambia.
Athena’s right, unfortunately.
There’s a few Vikings fans around, too, like me. The Vikings are actually the second closest team to most of the U.P.- behind the Packers.
