Map service with elevation filter?

Hi,

I’m looking for an online zoom-able map provider that has something like an ‘altitude box’. When we type, for example, 1000m into the box, every part of the world map which is lower than 1km will be greyed out and the remaining highlands highlighted. Does something like that exist?

Thanks!

I’ve been using FloodMap Pro for a few months with good results. Some features require payment, but the basic zoom-able world map is free. As far as I can tell, elevation can only be entered in meters.

My motivation in looking for such a thing was to see what Lake Bonneville in Utah would look like if it ever refilled. The lake would drain through Red Rock Pass toward the Snake River at Pocatello, Idaho. Set the elevation to 1458 m to see for yourself.

Wow, that’s a creative way to do the job! Thank you!

My motivation was to find nice climate highlands in the tropics and near-tropical areas. But the more fun thing is to set water level to negative and see which countries get the most benefits :stuck_out_tongue:
