Well, presidential elections come and go, but music actually represents an important part of your life.

It looks like we have similar tastes. I’m no fan of post-Bill Berry R.E.M., though they still always manage to slip one or two good songs on their albums (except for their last one, which was pretty much worthless. I hear their upcoming release supposed to be somewhat of a return to form, though).
