Now really, I know that at this point Playboy is on its last legs, but honestly a cartoon character, and they couldn’t even get her to take off her clothes .
But enough about Heidi Montag.
Does Playboy really think that this will somehow pull in the under 30 demographic? Did someone actually say "hey, kids like cartoons, if we put a cartoon on the cover the young hipsters will buy it?"
I really don’t know if I should feel sorry for them, or just laugh!
She’s good looking for a cartoon, but I don’t think this is in character for Marge. She’s got a naughty side but she likes to keep it private - that’s why the exhibitionism thing in “Natural Born Kissers” was a turn-on. When Homer sent her picture to that biker magazine in “Take My Wife, Sleaze,” she got upset. I always liked her roots as a character who wanted to be normal, so I’m not feeling this. It’s funny and an interesting promotion, though.
The article in the OP says the Marge cover will be a collectors’ edition, and the one on newsstands will have a “real” (I guess that does belong in quotes) model.
I’m sure she isn’t, but Julie Kavner isn’t going to be on the cover of Playboy. She may have had input here and for all I know she might’ve done the interview, but it wasn’t Julie Kavner’s decision to put Marge on the cover of the magazine. That call would have been made by the producers of the show.
