Margot at the Wedding - A really dark film?

Did anybody see this movie at the theatre? I saw it on DVD and some of the scenes were so dark I could not really see what was going on. It looked like they just decided to use natural light, but it could have been the transfer. If saw it in the theatre, what did it look like? If you watched the DVD, did you have the same experience?

Although it was darker than most films (perpetually overcast, and very cool–lots of blues/greys/greens), I don’t remember any scene where I couldn’t make the action out–even the interiors.

Saw it in the theater.

Roger Ebert is always complaining about theaters turning the projection bulbs down, in the mistaken belief that they’ll last longer. Maybe that’s what happened.

I saw it on DVD.

I tried watching it the other day and quit after 30 minutes–not because of light/dark issues (there weren’t any such problems on my rental) but because the movie sucked ass.
