That’d prolly explain why it was mentioned up in post #13.
:smack:
This is becoming a trend…
In Austin Powers in Goldmemeber Michael Caine plays Nigel Powers and there is a scene from the movie Hurry Sundown used in a flashback scene.
Preston Sturges’s The Sin of Harold Diddlebock (aka Mad Wednesday) starts out with footage of Harold Lloyd in The Freshman winning the big game, before cutting to the main film, showing Lloyd’s life twenty years later.
Which makes your screen name all the more ironic.
IIRC- Smokey and the Bandit 3 uses footage of Burt Reynolds from Smokey and the Bandit 3.
The opening of S&TB 2 has the Bandit needed for another run but is a hopeless drunk and out of shape. Jerry Reed’s character has to whip him into shape.
The opening of part 3 is the same except Reed isn’t able to whip the Bandit into shape so he has to assume the mantle.
I’d just assumed he was a Jerry Garcia fan.
Ah! Just remembered what you guys are talking about!
