Married Dopers- Do you have "imaginary" celebrity boyfriends/ girlfriends?

We’ve always had our “five” that we’re allowed, no matter what.

Mine (today) is

Christian Bale
Hugh Jackman (why, yes, the Prestige is my current favorite movie, why do you ask?)
Mike Rowe (it’s the opera singing, I swear)
Drew Barrymore (most of the time)
Aaron Douglas (Tyrol on BSG)

His are:
Scarlett Johanssen
Jennifer Connelly
Minnie Driver
Jewel
Drew Barrymore

If any of these guys care to look me up I’m so up for it:-

  • John Cusack
  • Billy-Bob Thornton
  • Malcolm Rivers
  • Toby MacGuire
  • Jake Gyllenhaul
  • James Spader
  • Cary Elwes (“Princess Bride” Cary, not “Saw” Cary) :stuck_out_tongue:

My wife knows I’ve had a crush on Stockard Channing ever since the first time I saw “Grease.” When she sang “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” it almost broke my heart. Of course, I knew Rizzo would never go for a guy like me – I was the AV nerd, so all I could do was worship her from afar and watch helplessly while guys like Kenickie and Danny and Leo passed her around … oh, wait, we were talking about real people, huh?

She has her “boyfriends”: Mr. Clooney front-&-center followed by The Daily Show trifecta (Stewart/Colbert/Carrell)

With me, though, she either doesn’t know who they are (Amy Smart), didn’t realize that I thought they were hot (Kirsten Dunst), or has never seen anything with them in it (Virginie Ledoyen), so nothing ever registers with her. I don’t have a “list” per se since so much of it is situational anyway (example: Dunst acting in movies=hot; Dunst in real live situations=not).

Seriously. The people that my husband thinks are good looking aren’t attractive and it is annoying. And weird.

He calls Johnny Depp my greasy boyfriend. He thinks he looks dirty, I think he looks fine.

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone else with a crush on Peter Dinklage. May I congratulate you on your excellent taste in men?

Yes, you may, but he’s mine!
He’s my first crush, celebrity or not, in a long time, and I’ve got it bad.

Megan McCormick from the Globe Trekker tv show. And the local weather woman on Channel 9 Kim Martucci

Mmmmm…all y’all that listed Mike Rowe need to back off. He’s mine!

Oh, and Himself likes Angelina Jolie.

I get Scarlett Johansson, Franka Potente, and maybe Christina Ricci.

Lady Mung is nuts about Antonio Banderas, Jared Leto and Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman.

My TV boyfriend right now is Vincent D’Onofrio…Bobby Goren from Law & Order: CI. I love him!!! Every time that show comes on my hubby says “Oh, there’s your boyfriend…!”

My best friend and I discuss and update our top 5 lists quite frequently, currently mine are:

George Clooney
Johnny Depp
Mark Wahlberg
Bruce Willis
Rick Springfield (some girlhood crushes never fade)

Also, recently I’ve developed a small crush on Justin Timberlake after seeing him on the Grammies. He’s not excactly drop dead gorgeous, but he is a cutie and seems like alot of fun to be around.

Ooh…HelloKitty reminded me of another one…I really really like Jesse L. Martin (Ed Green on L&O). He is so cute. And I love that he’s a musical theater guy…I read once that he & Jerry Orbach used to talk about their similar backgrounds in musicals, which I think is so cool.

My two wife-approved TV girlfriends are Rachel Ray and Parminder “mmm” Nagra.

My wife in lust with Ewwwan McGregor

Thanks to TVLand and other cable channels, I can see some of my honeys from the past…
Valerie Bertinelli
Crystal Bernard
Catherine Bach
Laurie Walters (Joannie from 8 is Enough)
Irlene Mandrell
Cynthia Gibb

and my present crushes
Jennifer Aniston
Christina Applegate
Drew Barrymore

I’d ditch them all for Emmy Rossum- we haven’t seen nearly enough of her yet.

My wife doesn’t talk about her crushes, but if Antonio Banderas stopped by I think she’d ask me to go out for an hour.

I’m gonna have to be a weirdo in this thread – I don’t find strangers attractive, so no, I don’t do celeb lists.

Oh, and Sean Connery. Not so much the sex, but the accent makes my knees wobbly. I’ll probably just open the phone book to the “R” section and put my head in his lap and listen to him read aloud.

Scottish accents…grrowwrrr…

I used to find Robert Redford quite pleasant to look at. But he hasn’t aged all that well so I’m not as interested as I once was.

Typo Knig and I were once chatting about RR, and the movie Indecent Proposal (for the unfamiliar, RR’s character offers Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore a million bucks if he can sleep with Demi). My spouse asked me if I’d sleep with RR. Without missing a beat, I said “I can’t afford that much!”

My spouse would totally go for Emma Thompson. To the point where he made a (joking) pass at a friend of mine when I observed that she had Emma Thompson’s eyes.

My sister in law and her husband had a deal that if the celeb of his/her dreams showed up at the door, that person could go with that celeb. They happened to see the movie Ransom at a movie/pub place. There’s a scene where Mel isin a car chase that passes about a block from their house. My SIL stood up and yelled “He came for me! Mel Gibson came for me and ***I WASN’T THERE!!!”

My husband knows that if Brendan Fraser turned up at the door, I’d be MIA for a while. And while I’m not usually drawn to big, overly-muscled men, I might be talked into spending some time with The Rock. Something about men with those smoldering glowers… wrrroooww.

My current girl crushes are Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy from House) and Mariska Hargitay from Law and Order: SVU. I keep asking my husband if he doesn’t think Lisa is cute, and his answer is always, “Nooooo, not really.” I could look at her all day.

I will go with:
Valerie Bertinelli; and
Sandra Bullock

Mama Zappa forgot one of mine from when our kids were younger: Allison Bartlett - Gina the Teacher Babe from Sesame Street. Link to a picture that does not entirely do her justice.[sup]1[/sup] When I first saw her credited with her married name (Allison Bartlett O’Reilly), I was crestfallen.
[sup]1[/sup]There’s a Muppet Wiki?!? There go the next few hours.
