In this deeply satisfying video a guy being goaded into a fight on his doorstep by a chav lands a single two-handed blow on the yob’s head (around 2:30) that is clearly so unpleasant that the thug is instantly floored, and retreats.
It looks like he might have clapped the guy’s ears, but I wondered if it was something more subtle. Any ideas? According to the papers, the guy studies karate and jiu-jitsu if that’s any help.

I can’t watch the video (I’m at work) but it’s most likely an ear clap. If you’ve ever received or administered one you know it’ll fuck someone up pretty good. Unlikely to do any real damage, but properly done will certainly disorient and stun anyone.
I’m so cynical about videos these days I really have to ask if any of them are real. It looked real, but every time you buy into one of these 'real life" scenarios invariably there’s a “Ha! Ha! You were punked” statement after the fact.
Assuming it’s real it does show quite clearly why gun murder rates are lower in Britain. If there was a gun available to me and I was being threatened like that the wife-beater guy would have been dead about 1 minute into the video.

He could have clapped the lad’s ear with his right - it might just be the overhand left to the bonce that’s put him down though, hard to tell. The scally leans right into him with his head so is really begging to be put on his back. Talk about a whipped cur, he drags his arse out of the place like a beaten dog.
See how the guy remains stoic throughout until his wheelie bin gets mishandled. You don’t mess with an Englishman’s wheelie bin.

I don’t know what the move was, but it wasn’t as cool as this one that took out another bully.
That’s what it was. An earclap is excruciatingly painful and if done correctly, it’ll rupture an eardrum. I don’t think that the guy got a good enough shot in to do that much damage, but it certainly stunned and disoriented the jerk attacking him.
It looks like just a punch to the face, impossible to tell what actually happened from that angle.
But, getting nearly knocked out by a single blow is not uncommon.
If you watch his left hand after the strike, it’s apparent that he’s rechambering a closed fist.
So our hero, a leftie BTW, has felled said chav with a punch to the head or neck. It sure took a lot of prodding to make him do it, too - how many of us could’ve shown so much restraint?
