I am really hating myself for the unbridled schadenfreude I am feeling over this. He reminds me so much of a guy I know, who is currently(and for the last 25 years) pissing me off. A guy who is very smart, and has no empathy what so ever. He has lucked out every step of the way, fallen into money through very little merit of his own, gotten away with everything his whole life, used everybody he knows(especially his family) without conscience thinking that they are simply lucky to be his doormats, and generally has developed an entire delusion that he is just that much better than everyone, and every moment of everyday reinforces that in his mind. He even has the exact same smirk I want to wipe of his face with a wrecking ball. I really want to be a better person than this, but hating vicariously on his moral doppelganger Shkreli at least getting what he deserves,brings a smile to my face.
I wonder how many others are also using him as a scum-surrogate for someone else.

From the tweet I sort of assumed that he wanted to sequence her DNA, because her DNA is one of the secrets that the Clinton Foundation would kill to keep. Since I don’t understand any of that, I also assumed that there is some backstory about which I don’t give a rat’s ass.
I think it will be interesting to compare his time in prison with that spent by Martha Stewart. Both guilty of white collar crimes (although his seems much worse) I suppose they will end up in the same kind of institution. Stewart came out and went on seamlessly with her life in the public eye. Shkreli, I predict, will not have that resilience.
Mrs. Stewart’s transgression in finance was not directly related to her business empire, IIRC. Mr. Shkreli’s transgression in finance is a part of his (purportedly budding) business empire, tho.
Shkreli’s looking at up to 20 years, IIRC - and he’s given the prosecution all the fuel they need to argue that he has no remose for his actions and will be a threat if released early.
This may not go well for him.

I have no doubt that he will shortly claim to have recovered a strand of hair that someone brushed off her jacket which will prove that she had Seth Rich turned into a child-sex bride on Mars for one of her Reptilian pizza chefs, inspiring Donald Trump fans to insist that he have her deported.
