I wonder how much of this is sensationalism and how much of it is real. I mean, I know that probably these charges are not allowed to be brought up in the Trayvon trial, but good luck picking an unbiased jury after this
I don’t leap to conclusions about people based on one person’s account of what happened. I have only read one article that mentions they were less than 2 years apart. I have only read one article that mentions she could not provide any instances of Zimmerman saying or doing anything racist. – What most of the media will do with this story is to use it to disparage Zimmerman, and make him look far worse than he really is. That is what most of the media does. And that is something worth feeling outraged about, not some private family matter that we know nothing about, and is none of our business.
I think its disgusting that the prosecutor pretended they might use W9 as a rebuttal witness just so the evidence would be among the things released, when it is clear that she could not provide any instance of Zimmerman saying or doing anything racist. It just shows the lengths they will go to. There is no way in hell this should have been released to the public. It’s absolutely irrelevant. It’s only effect will be encourage anti-Zimmerman sentiment.
The prosecution tried to keep this from being released. Its very hard to do in Florida with the laws as they are regarding information availability to the media though.

So what was that about how you don’t leap to conclusions?
Not telling anyone or doing anything about it is also what tends to happen in cases of consensual interactions as well.
It’s not impossible that Zimmerman is a molester or other form of arsehole, but these statements don’t convince me he is either.
Oh for the love of god! Are you really saying that she may have consented to this at the age of 6??? What do you think the age of consent is in Florida? Are you being serious? This is just absurd.
Yes, they “opposed” it’s release to cover their asses, while knowing full well it would likely be released because of the media laws in Florida. But now the defense can’t go back and say the prosecution supported the release of prejudicial information and use it as a basis for appeal.
But if the prosecution truly didn’t want it to be released, they would have admitted that it was wholly irrelevant to their case and would not be used in the trial. They disingenuously said they might use it as rebuttal evidence, when it has no credible evidentiary value.

As the touching (allegedly) continued as they grew older, then I am suggesting that it’s possible that she did not object to it.
My theory is a brilliant, original speculation based on various citable facts.

She laid down on a bed to receive a massage? At 19? Because she was fearful? Of what exactly? I call shenanigans. She and George need to work this out between them. Not our business.

What was she fearful of? He was bigger and stronger than she was, and we know he has an anger issue too, so why wouldn’t she be afraid of him?
You need to just drop this one. You’ve said its irrelevant to this case, so if you feel that way, why are you so desperate to defend him on this. You are not winning any points with anyone here, and I’d imagine the other Zimmerman defenders wish you would stop too.
You are only hurting your case here, not helping. If you don’t want to end up on everyone’s ignore list for the duration of this thread I would just drop it if I were you.
He was 18 when he was still doing it, so yes he should be judged.

I’ve already stated that when she was 6 and Zimmerman 7 or 8, neither one of them knew what was going on.
I don’t know that the story is invented, just that I suspect that Zimmerman would have a different perspective. Should we simply accept her story at face value?
She initially said Zimmerman- and his entire family- were blatant racists that hated black people, and that she could easily see Zimmerman gunning down a little black boy.
Everyone else has described him in the exact opposite way.
Then, during follow up interviews she could not think of a single instance where Zimmerman said or did anything racist. Nor did she mention him ever being confrontational, threatening anyone, etc. Does this hurt her credibility with me? Sure.
I couldn’t tell you why she wanted to insert herself into a situation that had absolutely nothing to do with her and make dramatic allegations against Zimmerman (and his entire family). But I, for one, am not ready to condemn Zimmerman as a big, scary child molester.
Then again, I was reluctant to condemn him as a big, scary racist too. And I was reluctant to condemn him as a cold-blooded murderer. So you can continue the trend of jumping to conclusions about him based on one-sided narratives.
And I’ll continue to give him the benefit of the doubt until further evidence has been provided.
I can’t find the place you refer to, but I checked his written statement from the 26th and he does use the word strattle on the 5th line.
