Zimmerman is obviously not guilty, and the people who called for this trial, and the members of the legal system who allowed it to go ahead, are cowardly, immoral, vengeful, dangerous, pathetic lunatics.
The people who claim that they have seen proof that he’s guilty, or even a liar, are ignorant, idiotic, dangerous, deluded, borderline insane fucktards. And probably rude to children.
It is some kind of crazy that every satellite radio news station covered this trial nearly 100% of the time while it was ongoing. Why? I mean really, why? What is the purpose - simply ratings? I suppose having a broadcaster repeat, “Snowden is still in the airport” ten billion times would be boring, but there were a lot of significant news events that occurred during the trial, and from my perspective, they were barely given a nod. Egypt? What happened there?
Ratings, I guess. Same as it was with the Casey Anthony trial (gotta say I wish she’d have been convicted.)
And, I mean, anything the media can use to highlight racial tension, right? The initial reports describe GZ as “white,” and now we get “white hispanic.”
The fucking tragic part is: while this farce has been going on, there have undoubtedly been some actual cases of racial profiling ending up in death…but we’ll never hear about them because Revs. Jackson and Sharpton highlighted this case. Sigh
They should have charged her with a crime they could actually prove, not gambled on getting her to plea bargain. As with this case, convicting someone of murder requires much more than proving that they killed someone. I think a lot of people either don’t know that or choose to ignore it.
Casey Anthony clearly, at minimum failed in her duty of care to her daughter, and that should be a crime, but (as disgusting as covering up the death of your daughter is) it’s not a capital crime.
Bearing in mind that “Not Guilty” is not the same as “Innocent”, he’s going to be acquitted.
That doesn’t change the fact that he shouldn’t have done what he did. Looking out for your neighborhood does not mean that it’s up to you to do what he did. Also, when you have a gun and the right to carry it, it is incumbent upon you to do everything you can to avoid having to use it. It is not there so that you can get into a bad spot and use it to get out of the trouble you could have (and should have) avoided.
This is a bad thing all around. I don’t know that justice is served by this no matter how it turns out.
Also, I hope Zimmerman doesn’t get a decent night’s sleep for the rest of his life. I hope every night when he closes his eyes, he dreams about Trayvon laying dead. He may not be a murderer, but he’s a killer, and it’s the least he deserves.
What is wrong with approaching a suspicious looking person and simply asking them what is going on?
If people would be more proactive in their communities there would be less crime. If those neighbors, instead of calling 911, had run outside and broken up the fight, there wouldn’t have been a killing.
I dispute this contention that we are to curl up into little fetal balls of fear when something is amiss and simply call the police who (through no fault of their own) will show up too late.
He got to play out his fantasy of being the big bad vigilante gunning down the Scary Black Man; he’s not going to feel guilty and have nightmares, he’s going to go to sleep with a smile thinking about it, reliving every “glorious” moment.
You know, most people don’t think like that. Your constant attempts to demonise your enemies make me wonder about your state of mind. You remind me of the opposite of one of those fundamentalist nutcase preachers always on about the evil temptation of THE GAY, because they are closet bottomists.
Second verse, same as the first: Could be. It’s plausible. Based on the evidence the jury was presented in open court, it’s impossible to prove or disprove.
