Marty McFly in the real 2015

I came across this while browsing YouTube. Marty travels from 1985 to 2015, but it’s the 2015 as it actually existed in our universe. The actor playing Marty doesn’t much resemble Michael J. Fox, but he has the voice down. There are special appearances by Claudia Wells, who played Jennifer in the first Back to the Future movie and Donald Fullilove, who played Goldie Wilson.

In the film, Marty and Doc have left Jennifer in the DeLorean. When Marty returns, Jennifer has disappeared and he sets off to find her. Along the way, Marty meets someone who will become very important to him, and takes the first step in repairing a relationship.

Thanks man, that was a nice find.

That was really well done, all things considered. They obviously had a budget of $3.50 but that’s okay, it was pretty good anyway. Interesting to see that the real actors looked better than they were projected to originally.

I was impressed that they used some of the same locations as well. It probably costs real money to use the Gamble House, for example.

I don’t know, I think he pulls it off well enough. He’s just not 4’11".

On the real October 21, 2015, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’…

And on that very day, the Chicago Cubs (who won the 2015 World Series in the second film) were eliminated from the playoffs. But they didn’t know that at the time the show was being produced.

The Cubs went on to win the World Series the very next year, though they played Cleveland instead of Miami. And it went to seven games, instead of a five-game sweep.

Well, I thought it started well enough, but it sort of petered out.

When you have zero budget, you can still write a good story.

He doesn’t look like a teenager. He looks like an aged Michael J. Fox. Remember, Fox was playing a 16 year old and he looked like it.
