Mary-Kate wants immunity

Olsen was the first person called when her masseuse discovered Ledger’s body.
At least that was the story. Now her lawyer has rejected attempts for her to be questions and wants immunity.

Is Mary-Kate the Mary Kay of the celeb drug world? Because I would probably think of her more favorably then.

That’s kinda fuckin’ bizarre.

Immunity from what? Are we supposed to assume that she provided him with drugs? If so, so what? He’s still the guy that took them?

Are you saying she has no legal responsibility, or are you arguing from the moral sense? Because I assure you that if she provided either illegal drugs, or legally prescribed drugs to someone without a prescription she can be prosecuted criminally. I would assume that she would want immunity from that.

What’s the Olsen-Ledger connection? Did they date? IIRC original reports said he was renting her apartment when he died, but that was corrected.

The really ridiculous thing today is that with Freeman’s car crash several papers are referring to a “Batman curse” (first Ledger dies, then Bale is arrested on trumped up charges that are of no consequence, and then Freeman has a car crash that has nothing to do with the film). HOWEVER, if it comes to light that there was an Olsen twin called just before each was reported- that will be a story.

Especially if it was a diffirent twin each time.

Particularly because that would mean that there are three Olsen twins.

Well, if they are drug dealers, their net worth now makes sense. It surely has nothing to do with talent.

Ledger had a legal prescription for everything they found in the apartment except the Oxycontin. Rumor is she hooked him up with the OxyC.

Ah, now there’s an idea for the next Hollywood thriller. I’ve seen numerous stories about the mysterious Evil Twin, but I’ve never seen a story about a pair of normal twins with an Evil Triplet. I’ll have to pitch this story post-haste.

You say that like it’s not true!

Funnily enough, that’s not the first or last time I’ve seen that gag used. It’s an amazingly popular concept…

I know it’s illegal, I was really making more of a moral comment. I just have trouble getting worked up about this sort of thing.

Believe me, as the son of a doctor who has an office in his house, I know better than to mess with prescription drugs. There’s some pretty hard shit sitting in his cupboard.

The lady who injected Belushi’s fatal speedball did a year in jail IIRC. Maybe Mary Kate forcefully held him down and jammed the O-Cs up his ass.

Why didn’t the masseuse call 911? What the fuck is wrong with these people?

She did.

Eventually.

Why didn’t Megan Marshack call 911 when Nelson Rockefeller died? The speculation is that it’s a lot harder to stuff a dead guy back into his clothes than you would think, and she had to call a friend to help.

I don’t think one should necessarily take this as a sign of guilt of something. If I were her, I would ask for immunity, too, no matter what. You never know what the cops might be after…Martha Stewart cooperated with an investigation, and look what happened to her.

Well, yeah, but Martha Stewart had committed a crime. It’s not like they framed her. If Mary-Kate refused to speak without a lawyer or refused to answer at all, that’s one thing, but you can’t ask for immunity without making people ask the question “From what?”

Maybe, but in a case like this, who knows what they might try to twist around to make it your fault. And all she has to have done is possessed drugs herself to have a problem.
