Masks for glasses wearers

I’ve been invited to a mardi gras party where people will be wearing masks. I suppose it’s not mandatory, but I’d like to participate. The thing is, I wear glasses and I can’t see most masks working with them. Any ideas for a mask a person with glasses can wear?

My glasses are similar to this.

Thanks!

This?

Get yourself a set made up as a lorgnette. See here for a pic.

ASAKMOTSD: Most amusing, but I’d like to keep my friends. And my teeth.

Quartz: That’s an idea, but it seems a little elaborate. Thanks though.

Giving this my one allotted bump. I guess I’ll find a costume shop an see what they think.

You can do a face painting type mask. Just paint on a mask and then put your glasses on.

If you want to put some work in, I made myself a mask that is actually held on by my glasses. It’s leather (you could probably do it from stiff felt or foam sheets. I know foam can be shaped with heat) and I molded it around my face and glasses. A little loop of string on each side and it rests on my glasses.

Otherwise, face paint is probably your best bet.

Oddly enough, I was at a Mardi Gras party on Saturday night. It was a Phil Lesh concert and for some reason they held it early. I wore a form fitting mask and was able to wear my glasses over it.
