Oh, an apology. Fuck him. I wish the guy that charged him in the courtroom got his hands on him for a few.
I’m opposed to the death penalty in a case like this. It lets the perpetrator off far too easily.

“Rather than a prolonged and traumatic capital prosecution, the efforts of the federal government would be better spent on combatting the forces that facilitated this terrible crime, including easy access to deadly weapons and the failure of social media companies to moderate the hateful rhetoric and images that circulate online,” Zoghlin said in a statement.
To which, I reply: why not do both? To suggest that the perpetrator should not be executed because it was too easy to get a gun, and because he read stuff online and lacks good sense or a BS filter, is nonsense. Note: I am against the death penalty in all cases, but if he is afraid of being executed or thinks that life in prison is better than death, I don’t mind having him sweat about it for a while. That’s probably cruel. Let me say instead, there are good reasons not to seek or even have the death penalty, but neither of the reasons cited are among them.
This is bizarre: one would expect blacks would be much more likely to be prejudiced against him.
But again note the date: more than 3 years since the crime.
