I didn’t think the White House was taking positions at present. Are they?
Voter fraud is truly the biggest high risk, low reward crime imaginable.
Il Douche doesn’t think of them as petitions, he regards them as prayers and entreaties. As for positions, ours is bent over, lubed up.
(I think what you are talking about is the “comment” phone line, which I have heard is currently suspended.)
To elucidator, my response was to the assertion that voter fraud where a person has signed under someone else’s name would get peoples attention. My complaint to the police was dismissed as was my complaint to the County. Their attitude was “So what. It’s only one vote.” Kind of like the attitude here. If the right to vote is so sacred that it should not be denied, then it is ok to deny it to one person through an insecure system? What is the cutoff? 10? 100? 1000?
To LHOD, I have told that story a few times in threads on Voter ID that you participated in. The fact that you don’t remember proves my point on how much people notice or care when this sort of voter fraud occurs and can be proven.
To k9befriender, I had to cast a provisional ballot. No one could tell me whether or not my vote counted but I guaranty an illegal vote did.
I mistyped “positions” instead of “petitions”, and I was thinking about https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/ but I’m not sure if that’s just left-over Obama stuff on another website they haven’t taken down yet, or if Trump’s planning on maintaining it. My view was that for actually making changes, it was worthless, but it was sometimes used to try and put the President in awkward positions.
I don’t know. There are some Trump relevant petitions on the site now.
I’m not sure it was useless. I mean come on we got an official answer as to whether the US Gov’t should build a Death Star or not.
They plan to finance it with sales of Ewok fur. Sen. Binks is on board.
Hold on, now. I can account for my whereabouts.
Really? :dubious: All of them?
With the recently-revealed “single reactor ignition” capability, it does seem awfully useful. Trump could use it to conduct climate change experiments.
Amen to this ! He is so full of fucking shit I am surprise it not coming out my TV when Trump is on the news ! Maybe that is why he is orange !
No offense, dude, but don’t flatter yourself: I barely remember who YOU are, much less what stories you’ve told in threads in years gone by.
As for the police’s lack of response, one thing I remember about you is that you’re pretty conservative, right? Don’t you know your story would be like crack-laced candy to Rush Limbaugh and his ilk? Why the hell didn’t you call them up to report Real Genuine Bona Fide voter fraud, if you thought that’s what it was?
It beggars belief that you think your sort of story is anything like common, AND that you think fraud (as opposed to, say, some kind of clerical error) is responsible, AND that these stories aren’t being plastered all over Breitbart and Townhall.com, instead of the incredibly lame attempts at voter fraud stories they usually tell.
So lets see - Clinton and Obama are smart enough to get millions of illegal aliens to vote in california - where it wouldnt matter - in such a way that the voting history looks largely the same as it has over the past elections.
But not smart enough to move a few hundred thousand in places it might actually make a difference - like Texas, Florida or even up in the rust belt where 10k (or less) would have made an actual difference.
If he actually BELIEVES it (which is funny the way Spicer kept saying that in the conference), then he should be able to offer evidence - but I guess to trump , believing is all he wants - he doesn’t want reality - he wants what makes him feel good and powerful.
I do recall your story, but I don’t recall why you think you lost the right to vote. They gave you a provisional ballot; did you follow up to see whether that was counted?
Beyond that, you are the only person I’ve ever heard assert that it happened (which does tend to make me think this was a clerical error, somebody trying to prank you specifically, or something of the sort). If this was a common or easily-reproduced crime, then there should be lots and lots of people making a big stink about it, so where are all of these other reports?
If somebody is targeting you specifically, that’s a pretty tough thing to prevent, and clerical errors will happen no matter what precautions are taken. Even if you did disenfranchise granny out in the bayou, that’s not going to prevent somebody targeting you specifically. (Voter ID requirements in the world won’t prevent somebody from requesting an absentee ballot in your name, then stealing it out of your mailbox, to name just one example.)
Doesn’t he realize that this undermines him more than it helps him? If there truly were 3-5 million fraudulent votes, we shouldn’t assume that they would have gone to Trump. They might have gone to Clinton, which would be more than enough to make her president which really would make him illegitimate.
Trump supporters are “low information voters” and racists. They don’t do nuance and analysis, vague innuendo is plenty for them.
Congressional Democrats should “call his bluff” and demand an investigation.
Okay, how do we start this campaign? Somebody mentioned the online petition thing at whitehouse.gov, but they’d probably just take it down. What I think we need is a whole separate platform for sarcastic petitions. The first three would be about voter fraud, climate change, and Hillary Clinton’s multiple felonies. It would be great if they couldn’t make it through a press conference without getting a question on these “investigations.”
The investigation should also include allegations that the Russian government tried to influence the election and that the Trump team may have colluded with them. This should be lead by an independent investigator.
