Master Chef is back!
Let’s get things going…
The girl with long black hair who keeps saying: “People don’t expect me to be a good cook because I’m so pretty.” Yeah, she needs to go.
Also, that lady who made that dish that had her breast milk in it? What the fuckity fuck?!! :D:D
I wonder if that was understood to be a joke. Gordon looked like he was laughing as he spit it out.
I saw bits and pieces of this last night, but ugh! Enough with the sob stories! I was expecting a soldier/child reunion or perhaps a Boston bombing victim next.
Oh yeah, I forgot to bitch about that. What contrived nonsense.
Also, what was the point when Ramsay ask that one lady to bring her friends in only to tell her, basically: “Yeah, you suck, get out.”
“You are not… going to go… BACK TO YOUR OLD JOB BECAUSE IT’S A YES!!!”
Blurgh. Just get on with it.
I’m considering waiting a while and picking the show back up after fried-chicken and crepe lady (The “I’ll turn around and show you what’s behind me” lady) gets kicked off. Everything about her makes me want to punch my TV.
It’s funny, this is one of those shows that can be good, but only when it gets whittled down to the finalists. The first several shows are worthless to watch. Survivor often is like this. Then there are shows like “The Voice” which are great in the beginning when the coaches are making the decisions, but turn to shit at the end when the viewers decide the outcome. Then it’s all about the pretty boys and who sings the most recent hit.
Anyway, inspired by the first hour from last night. Who else thinks we haven’t seen the end of Lyn?
Because I remember once, a couple seasons back, when there was another highly thought of contestant who was eliminated to everyone’s shock. And then, an episode or three later, they brought back a handful of eliminated players and had a competition between just them, and the winner – the unexpected eliminee – won and was readmitted.
So anybody else expect the same type of thing to happen for Lyn?
And what’s with all the hate/feuds going on? Between Bri and Natasha, and Bri and Krissi, and Krissi vs. just about everybody?
Yeah, my jaw dropped when they gave Lynn the boot. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope your theory plays out.
I fucking hate Natasha. I didn’t like her from day one. She likes to make herself out to be a martyr because it’s such a burden being so beautiful.
I wont shed a tear when Krissi goes either.
Some people are just toxic personalities, who feel the need to antagonize everyone they come in contact with. Krissi is such a person, a really nasty piece of work (for whom I actually feel bad, in a way, since going through life with that much bile and knee-jerk resentment has to be awful).
Don’t know if I’m really rooting for anyone. Football player dude? Italian guy? I think it’s pretty impressive Veggie Gal has gotten this far, under the circumstances.
Is the vegetarian faking being a vegetarian? Because she seems to do fine with cooking meat dishes, even the pig head from last week or two weeks ago. I know vegetarians who would have walked out at the sight of such a thing. But perhaps they warned her that it’s not a vegetarian competition.
This episode Krissi went from being borderline bitch/endearing ornery misanthrope to being just a straight-up horrible person. Constant theats of violence, anecdotes about previous violence, her inability to do anything but curse upon being called out on her bad attitude. I think she still think the others want her gone because she’s a “threat,” instead of the toxicity she fills any room she occupies.
It’s one thing to “not make friends” as so many assholes say when competing in these shows, but there are team challenges and occasionally you need an ingredient a “friend” may be willing to share.
As for Natasha, her disdain for Bri and whomever else is pure jealousy. I’ve seen contestants play it before: "How can these judges pick the dish by this person I hate?

Play the game, wield the advantages when you earn them, don’t make people hate you by being a jerk for no reason. Why is that so hard? (Oh, I forgot the producers cast such people on purpose )
I think “She reminds me of the girls I used to beat up in high school!” sealed the deal that she’s an awful person in my book. You sometimes hear “XXX reminds me of the people who picked on me in high school” but you rarely hear it from the other side.
I’m starting to see it as a class thing. I don’t know anything about the social backgrounds of any of them, but Krissi seems really low class and with a massive chip on the shoulder about it.
I want to set Krissi’s face on fire. I don’t know how I would keep myself from stabbing her if I was on the show. Can’t we have some reality shows where we keep the reality to the competition and not how broken these people are on the inside?
I liked Jordan for a while but he seems to have not stood out for a few weeks. I’m really impressed that hot southern chick is doing well and hope she keeps on winning. She’s got a great personality and looks like a star. I hope Natasha stays longer than Krissi and beats her in a cooking challenge because somebody needs to knock that asshole on her butt AND let the door hit her on the way out
I still like Krissi, just because she’s knows she’s not the nice girl and doesn’t take any bullshit. Sometimes she does asshole things, but she owns it, unlike Natasha who tries to play the nice girl card.
Jessie is so perfect and wholesome it grates on my nerves.
I can’t believe they sent Lynn home instead of Bri. I think they like having the vegetarian angle, it makes for good TV.
I want James to win! I just get good vibes from him.
I think it’s funny that Krissi said something like, “I keep getting stuck on the losing team,” and “I’ve been to the elimination challenge four times and I’m sick of it!” She fails to see she’s the common denominator in the equation.
No she doesn’t. I used to think that, but she is blind to how noxious she really is. And it’s impossible for her to “take any bullshit” when she’s the one creating all the bullshit. She blames others, lies, and is hypocritical.
